The Faust Brewing Company has been open to the public since 1998 inNew Braunfels,Texas, a small town renowned for its authentic German heritage and culture. The German prowess of beer drinking and beer making is legendary, and The Faust BrewingCo.continues the tradition with its original and varied line of ales.
Housed within the historic Faust Hotel, built in 1929, The Faust Brewing Company is a warm and welcoming destination, appointed with rich wood accents and a granite-topped bar, all enhanced by the gorgeous copper brew tanks in view.
While the décor carries the ambience of a period brewpub, it also holds the amenities that will keep its patrons coming back: flat screen televisions, dartboards, renovated restrooms, access to the hotel’s biergarten, and an extensive selection of liquors, wines and beers.
To further the enjoyment of its extensive variety of beers, The Faust BrewingCo.has recently installed a brand new glycol draft system, to ensure that every pull is a cold, fresh one. They’ve also installed new lines and draft towers, to increase their on-tap selection to a total of sixteen, with unique beers from aroundAmerica,Texas, and their own counted amongst them.
The Faust Brewing Company’s own line of beers is also increasing, with the recent addition of two Irish styles: Dullahan Stout and Hell Fire Irish Red, in time for St. Patrick’s Day. These were quickly followed by the recent introduction ofAlteredStates, an Altbier, Walter’s Ghostly Pale Ale, Faust Golden Ale, and Mike Crowe India Pale Ale.
To facilitate the increase in production and varieties that the brewery was seeking, they recently upgraded their equipment, enhancing the existing 200-gallon brewing system for their signature line, and adding a new 20-gallon system for their seasonal line. Each batch of beer on the main brewing system produces 7 barrels, equivalent to 14 kegs. The complete process takes from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the variety.
In addition to customers drinking them at the pub, the beers of The Faust Brewing Company are also available for you to take home in either your own growler or you may purchase a Faust Brewing Company growler to fill with your favorite selection.
