But maybe opposites can attract when true love is written in the starsEverything I want from a rom com: fun, whimsical, sexy. – Talia Hibbert, USA Today bestselling author of Get a Life, Chloe Brown Written In The Stars: A Novel
Ah yes, the fake relationship, my favourite trope! And in a contemporary retelling of pride and prejudice no less. I actually enjoyed this quite a lot.The main characters are a little bit trope y, but that's okay, as they are still very likeable and fun. Darcy is really cool and competent, even though her ice queen shell broke a little to easily to really earn that trope title. Who really makes the story shine however is Elle, who is deeply in touch with her emotions and doesn't like to hide them either. There are lots of witty exchanges between the two, greatly supported by Alexandrias perfectly written one liners which draw you right into the moment. The 3rd act drama and breakup felt pretty unnecessary, and I'm not sure whether this was just in there because of the reference, but it didn't drag out for too long, so we're good. The only real downside to this book was Darcy's brother Brendon, whom the book *tries* to represent as a little over the top but all in all cute and caring, but all it achieved is to give me a massive irk whenever he entered a scene. This guy knows no boundaries at all and he annoyed and triggered me to a level I cannot begin to describe. English Very enjoyable would very much recommend English I loved this book, it was so cute. At parts it pulled on my heart and I was so invested in their relationship that I couldn't stop reading. This was such a cute book! I spent far too much time grinning like a loon over it! English Definitely a book that I fell in love with. I would say it was magical if it didn’t make the book sound corney. Great characters, the right amount of everything. Loved it all. English You know those books that you can't help clutching to your chest, staring at the ceiling, and sighing when you finish a chapter? This is one of those books. 'Written in the Stars' is the story of Elle and Darcy and their broken, beautiful hearts that yearn for English This book was fun. The writing style, the character’s chemistry and the plot, all fun! The sex was hot but sweet. My only gripe was that the book ended abruptly and that bummed me out. There is a sequel due but it’s about different characters. English This was a great lil story but i would have just loved a few pages to wrap it up with a little detail, maybe im greedy ? English
