Alan warren has etched his name in my mind for introducing me to the calibre of writing and research a History professor must possess in order to write a book. He has detailed the the historic guerrilla battle sequences with great precision. I would recommend this book to any Military personnel who takes interest in guerrilla warfare and the history of battles and ambushes occurred in Waziristan during 1936-38. A thousand warrior tribesman lost their lives attacking and sabotaging British platoons marching inward to mehsud and Wazir territory. The account of the Faqir of ipi is an effective reminder for MIlitary men concerning failed infantry warfare into foreign lands by the world's mightiest Armies. English
