Ultimate Guide: Drywall By John D. Wagner

This book definitely gives a great view of professional drywalling, but for someone looking for thorough knowledge, I would definitely not advise relying SOLELY on this book for research. There were at least two missed opportunities for elaboration on procedure, and there has been at least one improvement in best practices (regarding surface paper tearing) that was not reflected in the newest printing. That being said, the book does do a great job of explaining the concepts of drywalling, includes illustrations of almost every step of the process, and provides a neat formula for determining a radius from an arc. Though the book is pretty comprehensive, I would recommend it as a great starting point or quick reference guide. This book will be great for many beginners who already possess a talent for working with their hands, but it may or may not take the clueless all the way there. 176
