Tobruk the Great Seige Reassessed By Frank Harrison

Very interesting book, good to read a book by someone who was there and involved in the chain of command but not the decisions. He corrects some of the mistakes that continue to be repeated, I even heard one on recent tv programme. This book is well written and easy to read, the only improvement would be better maps Hardcover
Tobruk -- the longest siege in British military history -- as seen from the eyes of one of its survivors. In a compelling mixture of personal memoir and historical analysis, Frank Harrison provides valuable new insights into this important event of WW II. He does full justice to the part played in the breakout by the 70th British Division, an action which ended the stalemate and the invincibility of Rommel. Tobruk the Great Seige Reassessed
