Just a quick read this one, but some good tips here nonetheless.

It's written for an American audience but most tips will apply to non-US readers too. Some tips had me thinking if they would work, others may or may not be genius. So pretty standard for this type of book really. Oh and lots of uses for Vaseline. Who knew?!

I guess there's only one way to find out if some of these work! Wish me luck... Ann Omasta Fun Collection of Life Hacks

I had read Ann Omasta's fiction before, so I was surprised to see a nonfiction book by her at one of my favorite book review sites. But I'm glad I picked it up. This is a fun and easy-read collection of hacks for different aspects of life. After a brief definition of what a life hack is and how they can so easily slip through our fingers as we see them on places like Facebook or random websites, the author divides the hack section by category like home, kitchen, work, pets, kids, clothing, etc. The hacks within each section are very random, although on occasion two will be tied together, like if number 47 doesn't work out, maybe number 48 will. (By the way, that isn't actually taken from the book, so don't go looking for those numbers!) Some were definitely ones I knew from my own experience or had heard of elsewhere, but others were completely new. I particularly enjoyed the kitchen section as I'm always looking for ways to better organize my space or help with other aspects of food and the kitchen. One I loved here was about how to use binder clips to hang opened freezer bags off the shelf above. As a single person, I always have a number of little bags in the freezer that I close with binder clips already. I will try this hack for sure so I can make use of some of that extra air as well as prevent those toe-crunching moments when a freezer package falls out when the door opens. A fun collection of life hacks.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

My book blog: https://www.readingfanaticreviews.com Ann Omasta Too many hacks, too few winners

I didn’t find anything I both wanted to try, thought would be effective, and hadn’t seen before. Several ideas met one or two of those conditions, but none had all three.

I think this is the wrong format for life hacks both generally and specific to this book. It caught my interest, but the internet is full of similar stuff and easier to digest in small instant doses than in book form. This book could benefit from a better layout and different font. It feels to dense and cramped on my kindle. Ann Omasta I don’t know about you, but for me, I have always enjoyed the Tips (referred to as “life hacks” in this book) for making life easy or solving issues that seemed impossible with just one little piece of knowledge. These are the things you may have shared in emails with friends, amazed that the tip was so simple that anyone should have thought of it long ago! Some seem like common sense. But most make me think, “Oh, that’s clever!”

Anyway, this book takes an assortment of “hacks” and puts them in an easy-to-manage chapter list. You may recognize some of these since they have been circulated by people who stumble upon them and are delighted to share. Now you can have both the helpful oldies and some new ones at your fingertips and all in one place for your convenience.

I can almost guarantee that you will find at least one new tip that will thrill you and save you time or money or frustration, over and over! Most of them are simple and easy to do, like cleaning hazy headlights with a little bit of toothpaste or removing gum or wax from the rug with a ziplock bag of ice placed on top so it peels right off! Give it a try and prepare to be amazed! It is well worth your time to check it out!
Ann Omasta The Ultimate Book of Life Hacks: Top Tips for Better Living is an awesome book. Sure, there were certain life hacks I already knew. However, now I'm equipped with even more life hacks to help myself and others.
