The Rejuvenation of Aunt Mary by Anne Warner, Fiction, Literary, Classics, Romance, Historical By Anne Warner

Young scapegrace Jack Denham is the favorite of his great-aunt Mary. 70 years old, she finally tires of bailing him out over his antics and disinherits him. Jack has by now fallen in love and under the good influence of his beloved, sets out to redeem himself. Along with some buddies, Jack treats Aunt Mary to a series of new experiences in town --- cocktails, clubs, a boating excursion, etc. In the ensuing goofiness, Aunt Mary becomes “rejuvenated” with the subtle assistance of her new “maid” Janice. This is a fun read but somewhat difficult due to the old-fashioned language. A few uncredited black and white illustrations are an addition to the text.
Anne Warner Another old-fashioned story, of old-fashioned Aunt Mary meeting a new-fashioned young lady and gaining a new perspective on life. Anne Warner

Introducing Aunt Mary

The first time that Jack was threatened with expulsion from college his Aunt Mary was much surprised and decidedly vexed -- mainly at the college. His family were less surprised, viewing the young man through a clearer atmosphere than his Aunt Mary ever had, and knowing that he had barely escaped similar experiences earlier in his career by invariably leaving school the day before the board of inquiry convened. . . .
