The Poverty Curtain: Choices For The Third World By Mahbub ul Haq

The Poverty Curtain: Choices For The Third World

One of the first economic theory books (written in the late 1950s) by Pakistan's brilliant economic theorist who later helped to mentor Dr. Amartya Sen. The Poverty Curtain closely looked as economic development as more than just financial formula, but the 'happiness industry, where contraints of people were just as important as their financial situation for them to determine the course and direction of their future. It is unfortunate that those who developed the IMF and World Bank in the 1960's did not learn by Dr. Mahbub Ul Haq. Hardcover It is a very interesting book, I would like to recommend this to my classmates
