Professor Valentine (Kirk University, #1) By Diana Vale

Great book for February. Sizzling age-gap romance between young professor and his student.

Writing is great. Plot is good. Romance is shippable. Characters are well written. Only minus point for me is that both MCs seem to have no flaws. They're pretty normal is all other ways. So, having a couple of negative aspects could have made them more relatable. Also, I couldn't quite figure out why they were attracted to eachother.

Kirk uni is the usual university setting that I really liked. Rest of the characters reacted as expected to the forbidden romance angle.

If you're looking for a romance for Valentines month, then this book is perfect.

I'm looking forward to reading Kirk Guys series. Kindle Edition 3.5 stars

Professor Valentine: A Student-Teacher Contemporary Romance Novella (Kirk University Book 1) by Diana Vale is a quick read. The story is a look at the lives of young adults trying to find themselves and how to fit into the new life at university. With your typical excitement and angst, crushes and fun, romance and everything in between.

Diego Valentine is a good looking, drool worthy Professor and all the girls crush on him.

She is forbidden fruit but neither can look the other way.
Kindle Edition Professor Valentine is a student/teacher romance by Diana Vale. I love a forbidden story and this one was a cracker. Cassie is experiencing university life and enjoying every moment of it. Diego is her lecturer and soon becomes her obsession. Their attraction is fiery and intense. The forbidden element of their relationship is what I love the most. I love the taboo and cannot get enough of the genre. This little novella was a beauty and it was such a thrilling read. Diana Vale delivered a sexy story and I am really looking forward to reading more from this new to me author . 4 stars. Kindle Edition Um… once the heroine made a complete ass out of herself during the first scene, I deleted the story. I can’t root for people when I’m too busy being embarrassed for them. (Shows up to her class/tutor session hungover, looking like a crappy mess, he gives her water, she dribbles it all out and down her mouth because it’s too cold. Then she barfs all over the place in front of him and he needs to get it cleaned up) Kindle Edition Actual Rating: 3.5

This was an enjoyable read. The story was a student-teacher romance and it was one of the better student-teacher romance stories that I have read. Although it was a quick story, it had an intriguing plot. I thought the concept revolving around the leads meeting in one-on-one sessions and talking about school and their personal life was good. I just wished there was more to the story. The characters were great. I enjoyed the chemistry between the lead characters. They were great. The ending seemed rushed to me, which lessened the enjoyment. I want to see what happens to the other characters. I can’t wait to see how the stories go from here. Overall, a great read. Love tastes sweeter when it’s forbidden…

Diego Valentine is gorgeous. Infamous among the psychology department, Cassie knows of his dashing looks and charming demeanour. But she doesn’t predict her secret yearning for their private weekly tutorials in the confines of his office.

Overtime, their friendship blooms into something more, and the two can’t ignore their fiery chemistry. It is wrong, yet feels so right.

Can they act on their feelings or push them aside?

A steamy forbidden love story. Perfect for those who daydreamed about their hot university lecturers and schoolteachers.

This is book one in the Kirk University series, a collection of sexy new adult contemporary romance books that can be enjoyed as standalone books in any order. Some characters reoccur. Eat up each story in one delicious sitting.

Professor Valentine: A Student-Teacher Contemporary Romance Novella (Kirk University Series Book 1) by Diana Vale - Review by Gail Guerrero

Five Star

Professor Valentine is a story I needed. That forbidden love affair that shouldn’t be allowed but we can’t help that fall. That chemistry that is undeniably addictive. Cassie has a drive to get her through life but even she had to sit back when she went from wanting to just be a student to fighting love. We can’t help who we love or when our hearts tells us we are ready. I do but don’t understand why this type of relationship is forbidden. On one hand you have the potential to ruin a persons career. The other hand you have a young person with their whole life still ahead of them. The amount of power one holds over the other is a big factor as well. But they’re also consenting adults and unless one is forced into it I think it’s okay. I seriously enjoyed the story and need more. This is my first story by this author and I was impressed and intrigued by the plot.
Kindle Edition I finished this book. I liked reading it. Kindle Edition 3 Stars

Professor Valentine: A Student-Teacher Contemporary Romance is the first book in the Kirk University series, and debut novel by Diana Vale. It is also a novella- which makes for a very quick and easy read.
As the title would suggest, the story is a new adult contemporary student-teacher romance- with some drama, angst, and gives a great snapshot of university life.
What happens when 18 year old Cassandra Rodriguez, a psychology student and freshman at Kirk University, falls for her professor? No spoilers from me, you will have to read the story for yourself to find out what happens.
This was an easy read- but I did have trouble connecting with Cassie and Diego- which made it more difficult for me to fully appreciate this story. But, maybe I was just having an off reading day, so I ill reserve my final judgement and see I am interested in reading the rest of the series to see where we go from here.

Thank you, Diana Vale.

4-stars

Professor Valentine is a great romance read, one that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish, I found it surprisingly easy to connect with the characters given that it’s a novella, there was plenty of detail and backstory that helped the characters feel real and had me invested from the beginning.

I really enjoyed how well rounded this story was and while I don’t usually like the push and pull aspects of relationships, I ended up really liking it in this story, it seemed to add so much for me and really added to the story making it feel all the more raw and real.

Overall, I loved everything about this novella and I look forward to reading more from this new to me author in the near future.
Kindle Edition I will be honest I was hesitant at first with this novella from Diana Vale. It clearly states it is a Student-Teacher romance so I actually thought about it before starting. However, this book was one I decided to give a chance because new authors and supporting black authors during black history month was important to me and I hate to judge a book simply by its cover/title. I am glad I did. It is a short read with a lot to unpack and you feel as if you get an entire full length novel with it. Yes it is steamy, forbidden, and sometimes as a parent it is difficult to read, but honestly if you look at it from the point of a forbidden love story about anyone can relate. We all someday when we fall in love, if we weren’t taught as children, that you cannot help who you fall in love with. Love is love, and oftentimes, even in my own life, others don’t understand the way you make your choices or who you want to be with and why. That's not for them to judge. I think this book does a good job of keeping it a forbidden tale and is well worth a read for a nightcap. Kindle Edition
