I really recommend this book to all orthodontic clinicians. The kindle version is easy to read and chapters are in a systematic order. 304 pages Written by renowned orthodontic experts from leading international universities, copyright 2022 by Elsevier, this book is a handy reference for the state of the art of Clear Aligners, especially Invisalign. Due to the rapid pace of technological improvements in the Invisalign system, this book may not truly capture the current status of Invisalign’s realm of applications, but this is likely due to publishing time cycle factors. A great resource, nonetheless. 304 pages Ok 304 pages When looking at the authors of this book you‘ll find some of the most experienced Aligner Orthodontists. The expectations for this book where therefore high.
According to the title I was hoping for an insight in the current biomechanical findings of aligner orthodontics.
In fact, biomechanics is just one chapter of the book. Even worse; the biomechanical part is readable here on without even buying it.
The rest of the book is mainly case presentations with the different authors’ opinions. These may even vary from author to author (e.g. compare the extrusion attachment designs from chapter 2 to chapter 6. The latter doesn’t even explain the reason of the design, which made it on the book cover though).

I highly respect all of the authors. They are experts on the field and I would recommend the book for absolute beginners in aligner orthodontics.
If you are looking for deep knowledge in Biomechanics you will be disappointed. Just read the content available here on then. 304 pages
