Play for Me (Maestro Book 1)
Loved it.
Mastero and Sophia have instant chemistry. He has to have her but she will only be had once shes married. Fast and easy read. Play for Me (Maestro Book 1) Love or Lust
This contemporary romance was unusual in that the two main characters, Sofia and Stephen, met and fell in love right away. Okay, granted, Sofia is young, naive, and a virgin and she meets Stefan, a musical prodigy like herself, but by the end of the first day, she is overwhelmed by her feelings for him. She calls it love, but this reader calls it lust.
Stefan, a player with fifteen years on her, not to mention all the one night stands, declares the same thing within a couple days AND asks her to marry him. Now! He wants her now, especially learning of her complete lack of sexual history, and within ten days, they are married.
Rushing things much? They may be the only ones who think this is rational; most assume incorrectly that she is pregnant. Still they manage to get married, and everyone is fine with it except her father. And in this time between announcing that they are engaged is a total of time of five days. Yet her mother pulls together a wedding that has nearly everything just so Stefan can have (and hide away) his precious Baby from just about everyone..
Will she be pregnant soon? Will he be faithful? Is this a match made in musical heaven? Will his jealousy overwhelm her and vice versa, and what about his desire to check up on his father-in-law? Will his alpha, dominant personality eventually do Sofia in, making her question her decision? So many questions and a cliffhanger ending.
Spicy scenes, lots of kissing and sex, over the top descriptions of food, clothing, and more. What the tuck trends seen, but basically lots of incidents of winking. Two more books in the series. What next for this couple? Play for Me (Maestro Book 1) Wow, what a book. Celebrity Conductor Stefan Bertrand is charismatic, handsome as sin and has the ladies falling at his feet. He has a hard rule no playing with the women in the orchestra'. He prefers professional or career women who know how, the game is played. Casual sex, brief and no drama everyone leaves happy. Till his truly astonishing assistant of many years, Gwen is hurt in a fall and gone for a month. When she is due to return, he knows he needs help. His offices are a mess, he has thrown music scores everywhere and knows she will have his head if not fixed. When his friend and head of the Center, Gregor tells him he can send him the new summer inter. Everything should be fine now. Oh, if he only knew !!
Sofia von Strasberg has just returned to the US from London. She is a music prodigy.
Sofia carriers' lot of family baggage mostly between her and her father. She has been raised mostly by her beloved grandmother, Isabella also a famous pianist. She has been sheltered most of her life.
She is beautiful, young and an innocent.
Within the first thirty minutes after they met and talk and both can't stop thinking about the other.
Oh, how life can change when you least expect it.
The love story between these two is just plan perfect. The maestro and the student. Only both will
learn a lot from the other. Nothing is as it seems with these two. Both have secrets and fears
that the other helps with. This is a very compassionate, romantic , steamy story of two very different people in both experience and age finding what they both needed and didn't even know it.
Such a great story. I hope you get a copy and set back to read the love story of the year.
Such emotions, you will understand what Sofia is feeling and also the amazement that Stefan feels at himself. The ending will make you sigh, and smile. Answering most of our questions but leaving
you really wanted to read the next book in this series. I can't wait....
I received and ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am voluntarily giving it. Play for Me (Maestro Book 1) This is the first contemporary book that I've read from this author. I have read most of her time travel books which I loved. In this book, we meet Stefan Bertrand, celebrity conductor also known as Maestro who is a womanizer and 35 years old with no settling down in sight. He meets his new temporary assistant, young Sofia von Strasberg (20 years old), a virgin with no experience with men. While I'm not a huge fan of large age gaps between the characters, this story works. These two meet and it's insta-love. I enjoyed reading this and I'm looking forward to Book #2, Mate With Me, and Book #3, Stay With Me. I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review. Play for Me (Maestro Book 1) Good read!
Sophia and Stefan have amazing chemistry. They had insta-love. I though it was well written. It has a good storyline. Play for Me (Maestro Book 1)
he is more than willing to do what she can for him — he is her hero. Even if he has never met her. And as a famous conductor he is chased by lots of women. AND then they meet. And he realizes she is special. And the love story begins - as her realizes who her father is and how she is totally ignored by everybody!!! Good book.
