One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) By Jeannette Winters

Like really? She accepted him back into her life that easily? The guy didn't even made enough effort to win her back. One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) This is my book. I loved writing it, and and I think you'll love reading it :) One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) 3 stars from me. Full review coming soon. One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) There's nothing original about the story plot, I'd come across a number of books with similar story plot before but the genius of Jeanette Winters, she put her own twist on it and it's works.
Overall, I enjoy reading this book, it's well structured, the prose and pace were just right and I didn't come across any typos! But the inner thoughts of the protagonist and antagonist, I found annoying and unnecessary. It kills the sense of mystery; you don't have to bare it all, allows the readers to speculate. One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) This was my first and last book by this author. I love Ruth Cardello and and I understand this is a part of her series, but this was bad. The editing, bad, the character development, bad. The storyline, weird and goes nowhere. The billionaires father's story, again, weird. And you mean to tell me that he can have Rex investigated and find out everything about his life but doesn't do the same with his girl? The only redeeming quality to this book is Nancy. Really good spin off series .
Very enjoyable read One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) Strong, intelligent women should avoid

For anyone whose idea of romance is for a heroine to have their life and independence crushed beneath the will of an egoistic, overbearing arse of a man with no positive quality aside from the fact he's hot, then by God, this book is for those readers.

For anyone who thinks it's sexy for a scorned woman to spread her legs like a cheap slapper for a man who inexplicably dumped her years before - for a man who STILL offers no explanation or apology, then this book will make such readers swoon.

For anyone who finds it romantic for every one of their decisions to be overridden, for their freedom to be disrespected and desires to be ignored, this book will butter their toast.

For me, this book was a steaming heap of misogynistic rot. A woman wrote this rubbish. A freakin woman.
Shame on her.

This hero was such a tw*t, I can't even. It's not like he was unique or even worse than others of his ilk. It's just that I've realised how much I HATE heroes of this type - cold, rich arseholes too entitled (and THICK) to grasp that the sun doesn't rise and set from their arse crack. They have no endearing qualities, nothing that makes them lovable, but are so laden with testosterone they are apparently gods in the sack - which is how they neutralise their prey.
However, their prey are always weak, passive dish rags with no self-respect, who are too stupid to think on their own.
Because no way on this green earth would a respectable, clever and independent woman ever lower herself to letting a controlling goat like Brice into their life. Not once, let alone twice.

I'm supposed to feel something for this prick? Something other than contempt, I mean. This ass didn't want children and when he found out he had one suddenly became 'insta-daddy' and knew how to parent better than the mother who had raised him alone for two years. This 'hero' then threatens to take. the. kid and keep the h out of his life...and not only is that abominable behaviour NOT addressed, I'm expected to like and respect him? I'm expected to understand why the heroine didn't threaten this idiot's manhood with a hedge trimmer? Because, no. To all of that, and to hell with any mum who doesn't lose her shit with anyone who comes in and tries to usurp her position - anyone INCLUDES the so-called father!

If I owned this book in print, I'd use it for bog roll. As far as the person who wrote it? They should apologise - and then find another hobby, ffs. One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) This series is a spinoff of the Barrington Billionaires by Ruth Cardello. I haven’t read that series and didn’t have any trouble with following this one, but I think some of the characters woven into this story would’ve been more meaningful if I were familiar with Ms Cardello’s series. Regardless, it wasn’t that big of an issue.

This is a pretty typical second chance story. Brice and Lena have a history, a big one, Brice just doesn’t know how big. He and Lena are “reunited” when she takes on the temp position as his personal assistant. She never would’ve taken the job if she knew it was for Brice. Henderson is a common last name. Last she heard he was working with his father, she had no idea he had struck out on his own. She needs this job and the recommendation she’ll get at the end to improve her life. She can do this for a month, right?

The book is interesting, but the characters get a little annoying. Some parts of it could be shortened without missing a beat, other parts seemed rushed, especially the ending. It’s a short and easy read so what was annoying was quickly over. I read it in an evening and it was good entertainment.
One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) I wanted to LOVE this book but it wasn't quite the home run I'd hoped it would be. It has a great solid story and I did love the crossover of characters with those from the author's sisters books. What didn't quite live up to my expectations where the characters. Brice is an ass, plain and simple. He may have a past that has shaped him into that but I just couldn't warm up to him. While I liked Lena, the fact that she doesn't call Brice on his crappy behavior drove me nuts. The other thing that had me a bit crazy was the fact that these two couldn't seem to just sit down and have a conversation. Avoidance on both their parts just made things worse than they needed to be.

As I stated though it does have a good story and because I have enjoyed all the other books from this author I will definitely be reading the next in this series. Hopefully those characters won't have me yelling at the book. One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1) I bet €50 he IS the father of her child; she was celibate for ages and he fucked around.

Not in this lifetime, ladies and gentlemen, I would read this piece. One White Lie (Barrington Billionaires, #1)

Brice Henderson traded everything for power and success. His company was closing a deal that would cement his spot at the top. The last thing he needed was a distraction from the past.

Lena Razzi had spent years trying to forget Brice Henderson. When offered the opportunity of a lifetime, would she take the risk even if the price would be another broken heart?

Do you love reading from this world? Continue with Always Mine from my sister, Ruth Cardello, Her series will mirror my time line. It isn’t necessary to read hers to enjoy mine, but it sure will enhance the fun!
