Great book.

After the last two books I read I was feeling disappointed, and thinking of writing my own book, but this one is really good. I was actually shocked by some of the things I read. I would definitely recommend reading this book. B.C. Monahan Sad

This book is sad until the end of the book. She is tormented by her dad and his wife sick people B.C. Monahan Nasty Little Girl by B C Monahan is a novella with great insights into the psychological effects on abused children and the lies they get fed to prevent them from telling.

Well written story, from the perspective of seven year old Bethany. Forced to live with her Father and his new wife Linda, Bethany is stripped of her clothes, food and made to believe that she is worthless.

Sent to school with an empty lunch box and dirty clothing, she is an easy target for bullies. She dares not to speak out about the treatment at home as she believes the authorities are looking to punish her for being bad.

The scenes created are very vivid as Bethany explains to the reader, the reason her lunch box is empty is she has allergies and can’t eat very much. Water is expensive and if she wasn’t so bad and greedy, she would be treated differently.

Bethany learns to believe that she doesn’t deserve clean clothing and nice things.

The feeling of being undeserving was a key theme through out the book and I could really relate to it. So many victims of abuse deny themselves small luxuries and find it hard to take care of their bodies. Long after the abuser has left, that impact of being ‘bad’ can stay. B.C. Monahan Wow

This book is a eye opener on how the system fails . This book was well written but it angered me on so many different levels B.C. Monahan Love a true story will make u cry thank goodness we have kind people in the world B.C. Monahan

Nasty Little Girl

Seven year old Bethany suffers daily at the hands of her father and his new wife. Stripped of her clothes, food and any dignity. The abuse continues at school too but less shocking than what she receives at home. Those who should love and care for her only warp her mind into believing she is a nasty little girl.

My opinion

It was good, and lovely ending. It could have been longer. What happened to her dad and stepmom? And who sent the letter to her dad from the school? B.C. Monahan Great book

Happy ending but some parts was hard . My dad never done what her dad did someone else that to me. That part of a mans body should never be forced in a mouth. Sad when it is. I will never understand why any one gets thrills out of abusing others. I know when I have pointed out abuse some think this is not abuse when done to some. Hard to explain. B.C.
