Move the Message: Your Guide to Making A Difference and Changing the World By Josephine Bellaccomo

I originally read this book many years ago after seeing the author speak at a Convention. I read - and liked - it at the time. But with President Elect Chester Cheetoh sooto to take office I thought perhaps it was time to read through it again.

The book has a focus on dealing with power holders (elected officials, corporate decision makes, etc.) and what can be done to get them to take the action you want. That being said it covers many other activities that may be of interest such as protests, letter writing campaigns, letters to the editor, op-eds, public meetings, etc. always with the idea of getting the power holder to take action.

This book is very thorough covering a multitude of little details that could easily get overlooked in a campaign such as what to write on white boards when making a presentations, what chants are better to use in a protest, etc. All very, very good tips.

This book is also 12 years old. So if you are looking for a resource to help you launch a Twitter campaign or start a Facebook group this isn't a good source. That being said, it's still very good and I definitely recommend it! Paperback This book is something I wish I have read before I began an organization. It's full of useful advice for beginners. Paperback I registered a book at BookCrossing.com!
