Lacking in instructive detail. I’m not sure who this book is for except maybe someone who has never shot a bow and is looking to shoot targets in a back yard. Archery for Beginners: The Complete Guide to Shooting Recurve and Compound Bows I probably should have done my due diligence ahead of time but I can't seem to find a reason to trust this author's opinions on archery considering he doesn't present himself as a competitive archer or as a bowhunter. He apparently is a skilled knife thrower though, which is relevant I guess?The book itself kind of follows my reservations about the author. The sections themselves are logically defined, but the content within each one feels like the meandering opinion of someone who just likes to shoot arrows in his backyard. I regret getting this book because I feel like there must be Olympic archers or experienced bowhunters with a better, deeper and methodical ability to introduce the art and science of archery to a layman.
