Wild Animals of the World: 50 Postcards : Braun, Dieter By Dieter Braun

Absolutely adorable pictures. Love every one of them, with every set there's normally a handful that as aren't so special, but this is not the case here. Would highly recommend.l Dieter Braun This set of 50 wildlife postcards are absolutely gorgeous. The cards are made from good thick card stock with rounded corners and a 4 mm white border. The cards are subdivided into 5 categories: North America, South America & Antarctica, Europe, Africa, and Asia & Australia. Number of cards for each continent work out as follows:North America 10 cardsSouth America 7 cardsAntarctica 2 cardsEurope 8 cardsAfrica 8 cardsAsia 11 cardsAustralia 4 cardsAll cards show vertebrates with the large majority depicting birds and mammals. There is one card with amphibians (frogs) and one card with a reptile (crocodile) as well as 2 cards with marsupials (koala and kangaroo). The common and scientific names as well as some animal info is found on the back of the postcards. The whole box measures 17 x 11 x 3.8 cm and the cards themselves measure 15.2 x.11.1 cm with a 4 mm white border. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be the inclusion of some invertebrate species.Overall it is a beautiful set of postcards for sending or framing and well worth the money.FYI: I bought the “Wild Animals of the World” postcards by Dieter Braun in May 2020 for 14.92 Euro on Germany. Dieter Braun This postcard set is full of beautiful illustrations. I absolutely love the artwork. I bought the box for postcrossing, but I'd happily frame and display them in my house. The paper is a good thickness and I like that the corners are rounded, I tend not to like that in postcards but in this case I think that goes really well with the illustration style. It comes with different tabs separating the animals by continent and a list of the animals in each. The cards have a description on the back with the common name of the animal, scientific name, continent, and a few lines about the animal. I like how they're informative and not just a very short description including barely than the name and habitat. The box itself is really good quality and I'll be repurposing it once I've sent all the postcards. Dieter Braun Beautiful set of postcards, with illustrations suitable for adults and children Dieter Braun Diese Postkartenbox ist so wunderschön, dass man gar keine Postkarten daraus verschenken möchte. From the author of Wild Animals of the North and Wild Animals of the South, this 50 postcard set combines the best of both books in one awe inspiring collection. These 50 colorful postcards (including polar bears from the Arctic, pandas from Asia, llamas from South America, and so much !) include the art on the front of the card and a fun fact about the animal along with its complete name on the back. Labeled tabs organize each animal by continent.

German illustrator Dieter Braun offers up a scientifically accurate and gorgeously illustrated postcard set of 50 wild animals from all around the world. His beautiful illustrations feature giraffes and elephants in Africa, koalas and kangaroos in Australia, huge blue whales in the open oceans, and many incredible creatures.
