I love Silver, sure she had her moments but she worked hard to get through them and in the end she proved that she truly is Westons treasure. An exciting sexy book well worth sitting up all night reading. Really liked the way the relationship developed and how Sum at chose the right way in the end. Each book in this series features a different member of the Gemini Group team, their stories stand on their own but it would be beneficial to enjoy them in the order written, the epilogue introduces you to the next book and lead character for that book, plus characters crossover into each other’s books and seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. This book features Weston Beil and Silver Coyle, to say the two are like oil and vinegar would put it mildly, he is an alpha male looking out for her, she is a stubborn, independent woman who does not need someone to look out for her. When she finds herself in deep trouble, she was wishing Weston would come to her rescue, but she did not depend on it and would not be a sitting duck, except she did not stand a chance. She did not stand a chance with Weston either, once he set his claim on her he would not give up on her despite her stubbornness. They may have rescued Silver from that boat, but she was still in deep waters, the drug dealers lost a lot of money and they were not done with her. Weston and the Gemini group will keep her safe, but she still has a mind of her own and a strong will. Weston met his match with Silver, she gives as good as she gets, the chemistry between them is sizzling hot. I loved how everything played out in this book and, like the first two books, it is a fast paced, cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some steamy romance. Riley Edwards, thank you for another brilliant story and these amazing characters, I am loving to getting to know them all.🎧📚🎧Erin Mallon and Joe Arden’s name and reputation speak for themselves, you know you are in for a treat with them at the helm or rather the mike. They are entertaining storytellers and versatile voice artists, their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. I love how they take each role and make it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. Joe Arden’s Weston was spot on, the perfect demanding alpha who was not afraid to show his caring side, and Erin Mallon killed it as Silver grasped her willful and vibrant personality and was a natural in her role. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. There was, of course, action but it was internalised this time. The real battle was between the two lead characters as they struggled to work each other out and understand the other’s flaws and strengths and I was absorbed by the process. I have never met such a challenging heroine but Riley really made me like her despite her complex and difficult behaviour and I was impressed with how she did this. Weston was a strong character too and so secure in his parents’ love he could cope with anything life threw at him. The issue of contraception in a relationship was also explored in a complex and surprising manner here. I felt she took risks in this novel and they paid off. A great read.
