I expected a much more deeper story from these two. Kristen Ashley **ReRead** **Novella within “Loose Ends”**
Gawwwd, I love Hap! Such a good and decent guy, trying to do the right thing by everyone (but Luci) despite what he wants for himself.
And Luci, fiercely unapologetic about who she is and what she wants, she’s totally kickass lady boss goals.
I loved this novella, and despite it’s length it still packed the feels of a full length read.
The push-pull attraction and tension between Hap and Luci was perfection. I adored how they communicated with each other while traversing personal histories filled with landmines, trying to find their way as a couple. So sweet and swoony, steamy and sexy, emotional and human.
I wanted to knee Sam in the marbles while Skip broke my heart in the very best way: tears and snot everywhere! LOL. And I loooved Pearl, that chick was a hoot! (IMO—or maybe in my experience is more accurate—Kristen Ashley writes the best quirky, eccentric relatable supporting characters in romance.) Oh, and the little easter egg at the end with Henry...yasss, I soooo want that story! Kristen Ashley Yay, Hap and Luci's story! Kristen Ashley Bore the ef' outta me. Story didn't get me hooked, instead I've skimmed some parts. Hap is a funny guy, but whiny and full of blah excuses not to be with Luci. Luci, she gave me more yawn than Hap. She's Italian, young widow, ex-supermodel, totally loaded, extravagant, full package. But all of that didn't do justice with me.
I don't think I'd agree with the author that Hap and Luci deserve a novella of their own. Truthfully, how they were introduced and how it was HFN for them in the first book, that's much better. Author should left it at that. Kristen Ashley I loved this story! It's about time for Luci and Hap! Just saying. :) Kristen Ashley
