I read these individually when they first released, and absolutely loved them. This is a fantastic series and very addicting, & I'm not in to zombies or apocalypse type books normally. I highly recommend these. These 3 are the start of the series and progress in each one. These three books are Mya & Drav’s story, the rest of the series are about other characters, with appearances from Mya & Drav. Here are the reviews for this box set, as individual book reviews.
6 Stars!

*Book 1, Demon Flames - I normally don't like to read dystopian type books, and never ever zombie books or movies- definitely not before this book anyway. But I absolutely love this book, it's my favorite book by MJ Haag/Melissa Haag to date. I'm a huge fan of this author. The events that take place in the story don't seem so far fetched as to be unbelievable. There's something about the interactions between Drav & Mya that just pulled me in, made me sigh & wish for a Drav of my own (without a zombie apocolypse though!). Mya seems to be a typical college student, but there's really so much more to her than a typical college student. Drav, some sort of Demon creature-man, is absolutely endearing with his relationship with Mya (not so much with the rest of the humans he interacts with in this book though). There's so much still to learn about everything going on in the next 2 books in this series & wondering if Mya will ever be able to reach her family or if Drav will actually leave Mya if she actually does reach her family.

The humor in this book is outstanding for lightening up the mood & the seriousness of the events. I was constantly laughing out loud. Also, even though this was written as a collaboration between 2 authors, I could not see who contributed what to the story, it was seamless, though I haven't read anything from Becca Vincenza for comparison before, but I've read MJ Haag/Melissa Haag's books. The flow was smooth & fast, the leading characters are very likable, & has you sitting on the edge of your seat wondering -oh my, what's going to happen next?! You can see the main characters evolving, slowly becoming friends (maybe even on the verge of more?). When you hit the end of the book, you'll be mad because you'll want to keep reading to see what happens next. It is a big cliff-hanger, but the kind that's worth it, that makes you really want the next book to see where this is going because your hooked & invested in these characters. I totally can't wait for the next book in this series!

*Book 2, Demon Flames -I highly recommend this Resurrection Chronicles series! Seriously, this series is my most favorite ever, & I've read over 700 books in the last 1 & 1/2 years (per Goodreads)! I can re-read this book 2, (Demon Flames) & book 1 (Demon Ember), over & over without getting bored, & I rarely re-read most books. I can't wait for book 3 now! Though it's an apocalyptic/zombies sort of story (& I normally don't read those -so don't let that hold you back), it's not truly focused on that part of the story. There are scary parts, emotional charged parts, humorous parts, drama, happiness, anger, action, mystery, suspense, & on top of that- an evolving love story, (it has just about everything!), rolled & layered together freaking perfectly. The main characters, Mya & Drav are fabulous, & the heat keeps building between them. They continue to develop & mature with the story progression. I was totally pulled into this story world with them. If I ever have to go thru a Zombie apocalypse, I want Drav for one of the 3 things I can take with me! He's a hunkalicious Hero!

The story flows fluidly & seamlessly, considering 2 writers collaborated on this. I've read all of MJ Haag's (Melissa Haag) books, & I can't pick it a part to differentiate who contributed what -to this story. This writer combo of MJ Haag & Becca Vincenza works fantastically, I hope they will collaborate again on another story/series in the future. The world building is fantastic. This is a can't put it down, keeps you on the edge of your seat & yelling at anyone who dares to interrupt you type of book. I stayed up way to late to finish this, even though I had to be up extra early for work the next morning! Don't wait to get started on reading this series, it's spectacular!

*Book #3, Demon Ash - continues on from book 1 & 2. Bravo MJ Haag & Becca Vincenza, well done! This is my favorite book series that I’ve ever read! It is definitely not stand-alone reading, since the world building progresses starting in book 1, continuing into 2, ending in 3. It still amazes me how well the authors, MJ Haag & Becca Vincenza, meshed together writing this, you cannot pick apart who wrote what in my opinion. This flowed fast & furious, it is a can’t put it down, stay up all night until you finish type of book. The characters are all dynamic, even the secondary characters. There’s all sorts of things going on in this book, from Zombies, apocalypse, drama, mystery, thrills, excitement, humor, Love, & sex. It kept me on the edge of my seat, laughing, crying & stressing over what’s going to happen next. The humor always seems to offset the the heavy moments as well. The balance for all the emotional swings was perfect!

I adored the main characters, Mya & Drav, their story evolves thru the series, giving them depth & character, it just feels real. This book ended with the HEA love story that I wanted. I did feel the ending was just a tad rushed, but it didn’t hurt the story in my opinion, since I was just being greedy & wanting more. The only thing I hated about this book was that it was the end of the series! I just wanted to keep reading about them, I’d have loved 600 pages for each book to get more of Drav & Mya, more of their story & more of their world since it felt like I was right there. This book did leave an opening for a possibility for spin-offs for the other fey males. I'm not positive if that was the direction the authors intended though. If there are spin-offs, I do hope we get glimpses of Mya & Drav in those. This book was definitely steamier sexually (but tastefully done) than the first 2 books were. Kindle Edition Must have box set!

Demon Ember
I like this story a lot. It is very entertaining.

Mya’s a college student. After several earthquakes, her world is falling apart as animals with red eyes begin attacking people and start the spread of an infection that is zombie-like. Mya decides to try to make her way home from college to make sure that her family is ok. Some people help her on her way but another creature attacks them leaving Mya sure that she's going to die.

The grey-skinned pointy-eared creature with green/yellow eyes and sharp teeth seems to be more human then he seemed at first. As the two spend more time together, Mya discovers that he is also intelligent and protective. He tells her he will keep her safe and take her home, but can she trust that he will do as he says?

This is a great introduction to this new series, but be aware that it ends in a cliffhanger! (I hate cliffhangers but since the other books in the series are already out, I will make an exception with this book!) This story had me laughing so hard at parts that I almost cried. There are a lot of feels in this story. It's very mild in terms of language and sexual content as this is kind of a hi, how are you, please don't eat me book. I recommend reading this book. Or listening to it!
I own an ebook copy as well as an audible copy.

Demon Flames
I liked this story. It is a continuation of the story that began in Demon Ember with Mya and Drav. This one ends in a cliffhanger (major!) as well, but since the last book is out, I'm ok with it!

In order to keep Mya safe, Drav decides to take Mya to his home. Ernisi is an underground world with many caverns and different creatures. Drav's city is behind a wall to keep the hellhounds out. While in Ernisi, Mya learns that the demons or shadow men aren't what she thinks.

Mya and Drav grow closer even as she continues to ask Drav to take her back to the surface. She wants to continue the search for her family as well as other survivors. Drav doesn't want to take her to the surface where she won't be safe. But when Mya gets sick and doesn't seem to be getting better, they make a desperate journey to take Mya back to the surface.

This story picks up right as Demon Ember ends which is nice, there's no timelapse at all. With all 3 books out at the same time, you can just keep reading which is awesome and the way I prefer to read my books. Finding out the history of the shadow men was interesting, but also kind of sad. There were a lot of feels in this story. I was mad at Drav or Mya or both of them at times. I also loved the way they were together at other times. I loved how protective Drav was of Mya even when he took it to extremes. This one does end on a MAJOR CLIFFHANGER! So be aware that you will want to get the third book or you will be very unhappy! I recommend reading this book! Or listening to it! I own both the ebook and the audible book.

Demon Ash
I loved this story. This story was entertaining and suspenseful. The characters were interesting and relatable.

Mya awakens to a world that has changed enormously while she was in Ernisi. While trying to stop the plague and the hellhounds, the cities have been bombed. There are fewer resources to be found and the infected are getting smarter or evolving as they try to get to the survivors. The two criminals from Ernisi are also a challenge for the survivors. With the help of the dark fey, Mya and Drav are going to try to save what's left of the world.

There are tons of feels with this story. I've read it multiple times and I STILL cry! I love Mya and Drav. Have to admit it, I want to keep Drav for my new book boyfriend! The protectiveness, the love, the devotion all adds up to a guy that doesn't want to lose the best thing he's ever had. Mya and Drav are so sweet together and I love that the other fey are learning more about what they never knew they were missing. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book. Or listening to it! I have the ebook as well as the audible book and I love them both! Kindle Edition See reviews under individual books Kindle Edition Outstanding

I adore this introduction to this series. Fantastic world building, incredible characters, and lovable fea! I cant wait to get started with the rest of the series. Kindle Edition I couldn't put this down

I have read other books by this author and also some of her young adult books. It had been a while since I picked up any of her work so when I saw the special offer for these three books I decided to jump in. From the first page I was pulled into this story. This really reminded me of one of her other series that I loved. I am looking forward to reading the next books. Kindle Edition
