The Little Endless Storybook By JILL THOMPSON

It's so nice to see them as little kids.
They already have all the characteristics that made us love thembut in this book you can also find them cute as our own little kids.
I love the way Gaiman writes, love all his books and this adds another way to introduce and connect the Sandman family to the kids at early age. The Little Endless Storybook Good story. The story was entertaining even for an adult. Good for children and adults alike. The art was also well done. The Little Endless Storybook Being a huge fan of the Sandman series I was very excited to see this book when I saw it mentioned in a blog I was reading. I've got a 4 year old and I wanted to share some of my experience following the Endless with her. However we've had the book a few months and it's just too wordy to hold her attention.

The book and the story it self are fantastic, there's some great artwork, and some fun references to the original Sandman that fans will appreciate. We all have our own parenting styles, but personally I didn't find anything in the story out of bounds or risky. The issue I found is at 4 my daughter has a very small attention span, she sees a page, looks at the pictures and you've got enough time for 3 4 sentences and she's ready to turn to the next page. This story is very detailed, each page contains anywhere from one to two paragraphs of dialogue. It simply takes me to long to read it all to hold her attention. I think in a few years she'll appreciate the story, but overall for now the pace of the book is too slow.

My advice is to understand who you're buying this for. If you've got a child that is at the point they enjoy being read to, and will sit/lay there while you tell them a story, then this is for you. However if you're child want's to be involved, sits in your lap and is constantly soaking in the pictures and flipping through the pages, you might want to hold off for a little while. Great book though, can't wait to revisit it later! The Little Endless Storybook Beautiful images with a light hearted storyline make this book a nice reading for mature children. Adults are better off with the original Sandman comics though The Little Endless Storybook Great for the little ones to enter the realm of the Endless The Little Endless Storybook

JILL THOMPSON ✓ 5 Summary

This classic tale of The Endless is a companion piece to the new DELIRIUM'S PARTY: A LITTLE ENDLESS STORYBOOK.
The story begins once upon a time, when Little Delirium was lost. Her protector and puppy Barnabas searched the waking world for his tiny princess to no avail. Now, Barnabas must travel to the strange realms of each of The Endless to see if Delirium's siblings have seen their missing sister. Cameos by The Sandman, Desire and the rest of the Endless family make this a must have for any Sandman enthusiast. The Little Endless Storybook

Ordered for my teen who was interested in Sandman but not quite ready for reading Sandman. The Little Endless Storybook Good book! Nice condition The Little Endless Storybook I loved the dog pictures and delirium and everything. The Little Endless Storybook I'd already planned to cosplay Delirium at DragonCon before I found out that Jill Thompson would be there & had never even heard of this series! The book came in just in time for the con & Jill was happy to sign it for me (and seemed to like my costume as well). Couldn't be happier! ^_^ The Little Endless Storybook Ordered it for my 4 year old daughter (but mostly for myself) and then came across reviewers who were skeptical about giving it to the young ones. I don't see anything inappropriate in it and frankly I can't find anything else that comes even close to getting a child familiar with concepts of dream, death, despair, desire, delirium, destiny and destructionwhich the book does very well in form of the Young Endless. They are cute and the story is sweet so I feel no threat in reading to my young daughter and watching her trace the art with her finger and ask a million questions.
Note: I did get the second opinion of my wife after I read other reviewers and she couldn't figure out why our daughter should not be exposed to the Endless. The Little Endless Storybook
