The Clueless Baker: Learning to Bake from Scratch (The Clueless series)

A basic book for teens to learn to bake with humour - wonderful!

I purchased this and the Clueless in the Kitchen by the same author on the same day, I thought I was buying them for my kids, but I know now, that when my kids move out, these books are staying! Paperback Not just for the clueless. There are some nice recipes in here. Paperback I use this book all the time. After trying lots of chocolate chip cookie recipes, this one won the place of favourite here. I also regularly use the sweet dough recipe for making cinnamon buns (the sticky bin variation is our favourite), the pie crust recipe, the flaky sour cream pastry strudel, butter tarts, gingerbread cake, lava cakes, soft ginger cookies, and oatmeal cookies. Paperback I love this cookbook! Easy recipes which always work, lots of explanations of basic cooking and baking techniques, and written with a quirky sense of humour. The whole Clueless series of cookbooks are great for new cooks.

I bought this book for my daughter when she was 10 or 11 years old, and she's made a number of recipes from it. She recently moved to an apartment for university, and is upset that she left her Clueless cookbooks at home.

I have now bought three more copies - two for her younger brothers, so that each one has their own copy when they move out, and one for me. Paperback
