I love this series!!! It is awesome!!! And no crapola in it like I originally suspected!!! AWESOME!!! 9780969391012 After forty years, this is still my very favorite cookbook. Of course, I don't read it anymore, I've moved on, but this is the book that most influenced my Friday Night and Holiday cooking. After reading a ton of cookbooks since the Corona Virus trapped me in the house, I fished this treasure out of my dusty library and lovingly fondled the sticky yellowing pages. I can't even read my illegible notes scribbled into the margins but I know they were important to me at the time they were added....God I love this book ❤️

Norene, I see on your profile that you died this past February. I want you to know how much I loved you.❤️ 9780969391012 Who reads a cook book? I went through this cover to cover. It is an invaluable resource, a milestone is the annals of Jewish cooking, a must for the single man. I would have been lost forever without it. I was lost (though didn't know it then) when I replaced it with a cook+. Better the book to eat by... more satifying, more nutritious, more honest cooking. LOVE it. 9780969391012 This book defines the statement, Don't judge a book by its cover. In the days of gorgeous photography, beautiful bindings and so forth, this little book stands out for its content. There are no photos, a simple typeface and no table of contents, but the recipes are perfection. While this is a Jewish cookbook, anyone can enjoy the delightful recipes inside.

The book is broken down into Appetizers & Party Treats; Meat, Poultry & Stuffings; Fish, Eggs & Cheese; Vegetables, Side Dishes, Salads & Dressings; Bread, Rolls & Muffins; Cakes & Icings; Pies & Desserts; Cookies, Squares & Candies; Jewish Festivals; Miscellaneous; One Helping, Please! (Dieting recipes); and Microwave Recipes. While there is no table of contents, there is a good index.

If you're looking for good recipes for good food, this book has got you covered. No bells and whistles, just great food done right.

I received a copy of this book from Whitecap Books for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. 9780969391012 A classic that stands the test of time. 9780969391012

just tried the macaroons - so easy and so awesome. The fluff right up in the oven.

This minimalist recipe book is easy to use with quick tasty foods.

A Jewish friend gave this to me in Toronto. 9780969391012
