Scooper and Dumper By Lindsay Ward

Scooper

Lindsay Ward í 7 read

Dumper clears the roads and dumps salt to keep them clear. Scooper loads Dumper so he can do his job. Each has their role to play in helping the community. When a nearby big city needs their help, Scooper loads Dumper and Dumper sets off to clear roads. But when things go wrong it's up to Scooper to step out of her comfort zone and save the day. This is a cute story about friendship and using our strengths to help each other out when needed. The illustrations are darling (Scooper has a polka-dot bow) and the rhymes work well as a read aloud. A great story for young vehicle lovers as well as a thoughtful story about each of us finding our niche. Scooper and Dumper I received Scooper & Dumper thanks to Lindsay Ward & the Amazon Prime Benefits Program.

Scooper & Dumper is a beautifully illustrated children's book about two vehicles that clean roads in the snow working together. They help people that get stuck in the snow. Working together to help others are great topics to discuss with young children as you read this book with them.

Living in Florida, we don't get snow so with this book the children here get an idea about how snow in the winter comes down and how people deal with it. Scooper and Dumper i know, i know, every time i swear i am going to recall the right name for this and i always forget, oops. i think it is kindle first reads when a prime member you get to pick one book, i think there are like 7 options ... and they are published the following month ... so it will be January 2021 when this sweet read will be out. so cute. great illustrations. made me smile. i love the kindness and respect these vehicles have for each other ... a real kindred-ship ... we all need to follow suit. well said. who doesn't love a good snowy read? super cute! Scooper and Dumper Illustrated friendship amid gridlock

For a kids book, this doesn't stick with just simple words or concepts. Treacherous situations like a dump truck turned sideways, gridlock, a tow truck not being able to help? This is edge of the seat high drama, with two different unlikely friends at the core.

Sure, you'll tell me it's just trucks and I'm reading too much into the diversity concept and girl power and believing in yourself, your strengths, and the power of friendship. But I know I'm right.

The illustrations are fun, bright colors with a limited palette for maximum effect. I'm smitten by the trees in the background. Scooper and Dumper Great book about courage!

This is a book about two trucks, Dumper and Scooper. They help clear off roads full of snow, but the real story here is the courage it took Scooper to go off on her own at night, to go save Dumper.

At first I was hesitant because the listing said children and women or something like that, and I thought it was a book marketed for girls, like Rosie by the same author. But I was pleasantly surprised! It has a perfect mix of characters that both girls and boys will like and feel a connection to.

I haven't read it to my son yet, but I know he's gonna love it. I'll update the review after I've read it to him. Scooper and Dumper

Introducing two new vehicles who work together no matter what!

The best of friends, Scooper the front loader and Dumper the snowplow take care of their town in all kinds of weather. One day a snowstorm hits, and the big city needs their help to clear the roads. Each of them must be brave in their own way to get the job done.

This wintry adventure spotlights the ideas of individual strengths, teamwork, and friendship in a vehicle buddy story that boys and girls alike will love. Scooper and Dumper

Cute story!

My kids loved this cute little story. Such a fun and catchy book to read about best friends there o help each other out! Scooper and Dumper Winter's here and that means lots of snow. Good thing best friends Scooper and Dumper are on the job: Clear the road,/ Salt the street,/ Work together,/ Can't be beat! Yellow Scooper uses her front loader to scoop up lots of salt and fill up blue Dumper's bed with it. Then while Scooper stays where she is to load more trucks with salt, Dumper travels along the roads, using his front plow to clear the snow in front of home and then salting the roads behind him from his back bed to help keep the snow from accumulating again.

But when the snows starts to fall even harder, cars and trucks in the big nearby city are brought to a halt. When the city has run out of salt, can their country friends Scooper and Dumper help out and get traffic moving again?.

Scooper loads up Dumper with more salt and sends him on his way. But after helping to get traffic moving again, when Dumper starts back to the country, the icy roads and thick snow drifts make driving hard. Next thing he knows, Dumper is on his side in a snowbank. Can Scooper find the courage and confidence she needs to leave the salt yard to find and help out her missing best friend?

Scooper and Dumper is a story that is sure to please young readers and especially young truck lovers. And why not? It stars trucks, their favorite kind of vehicles, it's loaded with excitement and nail-biting action, and it is about how two best friends can be there for each other.

The story is told in four short stanza rhymes using an ABCB rhyme scheme which basically works all the way through the end of the book. The repetition of Clear the road,/ Salt the street,/ Work together,/ Can't be beat! emphasizes the idea of courage, friendship and working together to accomplish a goal. And no doubt, your young readers will be chanting these four lines before you know it.

Whether your town is blanketed in snow and waiting for your scooper and dumper to clear the roads or not, this is a book that is sure to be a kid-pleaser.

This book is recommended for readers age 4+

Scooper and Dumper Basically the movie Cars meets slam poetry trying to be Dr Suess

The book overall is a bit lackluster for older kids and a bit long for younger kids so it is a difficult spot. My 8 year old was a bit bored halfway through for example but I think a year ago he would have liked it more.

Art is well done. Some of the rhymes are good. Plot is a snow day and how the vehicles work together and save the day keeping the roads clear.

Not the strongest first reads children book but also not even close to the worst. Scooper and Dumper Read it for my daughter. Love the snow and traffic rhymes. Scooper and Dumper If you have kids that love trucks and wheels, this one's for you. While a bit long for the age range, they should still find the book entertaining. Scooper and Dumper
