Rise of magic series
I am imensely sorry to finish this series but am so looking forward to what is going to happen to all the members of the BBB no matter which way they go. The spin offs are going to keep me reading for a long time. Keep up the great storytelling. C.M. Raymond Amazing series
Please don’t end this series. All the characters are so well written, you can feel their personalities through the words. Great plots in every book, keep me hooked. Thanks for a great long read! C.M. Raymond Loving 🥰 Hannah & BBB
I read all these books 📚 so damn quickly!!! About 5-6 days I calculated (more or less) ready for book 9!!! I so live BA and definitely Hannah 😍now then again ALL books 📚 that have to do with the KGU thank you 😊 pleaseeeee keep writing ✍️ them 🥰🥰😍😍😘 C.M. Raymond Wizardry and sci fi
Same stuff as in the early elite books. The mix of wizardry, low and hi tech stuff really does not work for me. Good enough to read but not a page gripper series for me C.M. Raymond Fabulous
Well written with a fully developed cast of characters. I couldn't stop reading. Hopefully I can get some sleep now. C.M. Raymond

Rise of Magic Complete 2-ARC Omnibus:: Includes the first EIGHT books in the Epic Fantasy series!
I just stumbled on this series. I haven't read anything else from the Kurtherian Universe before these. I was sold fast. I thought I'd just give it shot but here I am done with 8 books in under a week and I want more.
The characters are relatable, it has humor, power, love, adversity, a big bad guy, a foul mouth but loveable female protagonist. I wish I knew more people who read these books, I desperately want to talk about them with someone lol.
Although I had some questions about certain characters and their pasts the questions do get answered. Don't feel overwhelmed by the number of books in this universe, it's just more of a great thing! You can just start with this saga but believe me it'll leave you wanting to read everything in this universe. C.M. Raymond Awesome
First, this is a long series of books. I have read the first 8 books. If you do read this series be sure to read the authors' notes at the end of each book. They are very interesting.
The authors have done a great job of character building. This series has everything you would want in a fantasy world. There were a very small amount of editing mistakes, not enough to get upset over. I just thought I would mention them to raise awareness.
In all honesty, I think the series should be made into a television series one day. I'm enjoying the ROM Fantasy world & characters so much that I'm buying the paperbacks for my daughter.
Happy reading!
C.M. Raymond It's ok
Some are better than others.. it's a lot of reading and some of them kinda jump to rather sudden perfect solutions..
Like how quickly the Heemites were prepared to drop their total belief in the gods under the mountain.. bit overly simplistic. Also the Tarkans followed Aardyn but switched allegiance almost immediately.. he was overcome and vanquished too easily considering that his forces had overwhelmed and taken the Tarkans.
But I suppose when they are churning books out so fast stuff like that goes by the wayside and gets ignored because the quality isn't the point for readers of these mass publications.. the point is quantity, the point is to take as much as possible from the readers over multiple books rather than producing fewer better written ones that you need to charge more for.. they're also having to pay multiple authors off each book as Anderle farms the job out to writing teams.. hence the need for them to maintain writing as a side job and churn them out at speed.. I am as yet undecided as to whether it really works.. I loved the series written about Juliana, different style, different character.. in this there's discrepancy where Juliana repeatedly references her time hiding as a guard while in a relationship with Marcus, but that is not how it appears here.. the relationship didn't happen and Marcus acted totally out of character without any explanation for the sudden change in his allegiance.. this is what happens when you are passing off sections of a bigger plan to different people, errors appear.. mistakes are made and personalities are recreated that don't fit with the original plan.. I find it difficult to let that go.. I also find the reading order overly complex when things are all happening in different places at the same time and so it's not always straightforward as to what should be read first. C.M. Raymond This review is actually for the first four books, which I read in a collection that's no longer available. This first story arc is about a old man who returns to the city he founded, only to discover that his old pupil made it into an oligarchy where only a select few can legally perform magic. He takes under his wing a young woman with a mouth as foul as her magic has potential, and together they lay down the seeds for a revolution.
It's not a bad story overall. The writing is snappy with decent descriptions, but typos are common enough. My biggest complaint is that the story is awfully formulaic. There were virtually no surprises for me and few instances of our heroes being brought low. Also, the ending of the third book made me roll my eyes for some very implausible things. A lukewarm recommendation. C.M. Raymond WOW!! I absolutely LOVED this series! I've never laughed so much. These books are just amazing. Characters you fall in love with. A world that is vaguely familiar, and just a whole lot of fun to read. I haven't read anything else in Kurtherian world, but I think I'm going to start. Age of Magic will most likely be my favorite segment though, as I'm more prone to magic, dragons, and sword and sorcery. I want more of Hannah and the triple B's. Next up, Solyrian Conspiracy, and then having to wait for them to write more (which they said they are doing... YAY!!) C.M. Raymond
