Rakarthen Academy (Dragon Fae Chronicles, #1) By Clara Hartley

Clara Hartley µ 0 READ

Clara has brought us back to Sera's original series but with a spin off with her daughter. I was so excited to get back into this world and it started with a bang. I loved the new characters and also how the story includes aspects from the previous series to give the reader a recap and it makes you think back to how those books played out. The story flows fantastic and the writing is on point with twists, turns and we'll descriptions that will come alive in your mind. I loved the banter, the adventure and the Rance that Hartley creates. Looking for a magical RH adventure that will have you non stop reading until you finish... This is the book and new series for you. Loved it! Fantasy, Romance, Ebooks *Spoiler Alert*
Following on from The Dragon Fae King this book continues with Lyra (FMC) Queen Sera's daughter (from The Dragon Fae Chronicles) Lyra is chosen to be a diplomat for Constanria (the land her parents rule) to go to Thesnan. Little does she know that she wont be getting a warm welcome there. She has to enrol at Rakarthan Academy where no-one wants her there and shes hated by everyone especially The Triad-Cendri, Aland and Nemreth who are all brutal in their bullying of Lyra. Her only allie is Kaji-her guard and sarcastic friend and Mayhem-Ingora and wolf like. Rakarthan Academy has its own problems though namely The Undead. Zombies like creatures that are hard to kill but have been attacking the Fae people and now Lyra is right in the middle of it. Ill be honest that i felt bad for Lyra with everything the Triad put her through & i really wanted someone to put them in their place. Saying that i loved how Lyra went from a pampered princess to a strong-willed and a compassionate woman. I loved The Dragon Fae Chronicles and im enjoying reading this so much. Looking forward to book 2 Fantasy, Romance, Ebooks I really enjoyed reading this and I could not put it down until I finished the very last page. It moved along at a great pace, which was the perfect speed for reading. Has interesting and unique characters that you want to know more about and no matter what happens you want to see them succeed. The story will grab you and keep you reading till you reach the end and then you are craving more. This is a must read, there is no doubt about it. Fantasy, Romance, Ebooks I'm so excited for this series. After reading the prequel, The Dragon Fae King, I had to know what happened next with the abomination and the teramarth and how everyone in the nearby kingdoms were handling the situation that would affect everyone in due time. This book was no disappointment. We were able to learn new things about dragon fae that weren't mentioned in the prequel and also got to learn about the dragons and their past complications with the dragon fae. The characters in this book were also easy to fall in love with. Lyra is an amazingly strong and sassy character, definitely unlike her other sisters. She isn't proper in her mannerisms and is not the damsel that people expect her to be. I love that she wants to fight and get involved in protecting her people. Her relationship with Nemreth, Aland, and Cendri sure started out rocky, but they are slowly coming around. Aland is my favorite right now. He may be more closed off than the others but the way he opened up to Lyra proves that an organic connection is possible when they aren't fighting the pull that each is feeling. I can't wait to see how everyone comes together and how prominent their participation is in the prophecy. Fantasy, Romance, Ebooks I really loved going back into this world and reading more about Sera’s children! It was great to get that glimpse into the old characters that we know and love and then read about the next generation. Lyra is intriguing FMC...at first annoying and pampered but she really develops throughout the story and you get to love her and really hate what the triad put her through. She is fierce and strong, not at all proper and I loved that! The guys, Nemreth, Aland and Cendri annoyed the crap out of me. They go on and on about on being able to lie but then they Lyra to cone yo their world and treat her like that! Aland is the only one I like, he is strong and silent but opens up to Lyra. I just want to smack the other two and really do they deserve her forgiveness. Really the dragon Fae need to be taken down a peg or two and I hope that Lyra makes them beg for her forgiveness and not give in easily! I cannot wait for more! Fantasy, Romance, Ebooks

Rakarthen

Three dragon fae men.
A girl who must prove her strength.
A prophecy that binds them together.

They came from a faraway land, promising a treaty, new adventures, and a place where I can fit in.

Cendri wants to break me.
Nemreth wishes to deceive me.
And I can’t tell what goes behind Aland’s mind, for his eyes are as cold as his disposition.

They’ve seduced me with their promises, and only after I enter Thesnan do I learn that the fae hate people like me. I’m here to face their test, to prove to them that dragon-kind are worthy of their acceptance.

I’m told I should run and go home. Ignore the trials of these petty folk. But I'm stubborn and I refuse to back down. A looming threat of a massive undead army is why the fae sought us in the first place. If I can't get the alliance working, my ineptitude might result in countless deaths.

More importantly, I want to win. Running away after being made a fool by the fae simply isn’t my style. I’ll wipe those smug grins off the triad’s faces, and they’re going to beg for my forgiveness—right after I figure out how this whole magic thing works, anyway.

Rakarthen Academy is the first book of the Dragon Fae chronicles, a reverse harem fantasy academy featuring bullying. There are dark themes, and the series is slow-burn. Contains M/M. Rakarthen Academy (Dragon Fae Chronicles, #1)
