I thought this one was an okay read but it could have been a little bit better. I mean I kind of knew who did it from the very beginning but I would have liked them very nice twist to it but it is what it is. I would recommend for someone to read this is so cute short story and if you love pets this is definitely the one to read. English Pups in Peril is the sixth book in Hope Callaghan’s Sweet Southern Sleuths Cozy Mystery Series and is a delightful read. This book includes a well-plotted storyline, well-developed characters, and another interesting mystery to try to solve. There is no adult language, graphic violence, or sexually explicit scenes and there are lots of humorous moments. This short story was easy to read and held my interest. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading light, cozy Christian mysteries.
Loretta and Lacy Sweet, and their uncle, Ichabod McCoy, have finally made it home from Las Vegas. It’s Thanksgiving eve and Loretta is so happy to be back in Misery, Mississippi. She soon learns that her mother, who was holding down the fort in Loretta’s absence has taken in a stray tortoiseshell cat and that Savannah Dogwood’s beloved Chihuahua, Barkley, has gone missing. While trying to help her friend, Savannah, find Barkley, they discover several other small pedigree dogs have disappeared from Misery and the nearby town of Glimmer. Loretta, Lacy, Uncle Ichabod, and Savannah are determined to locate the missing dogs and bring the culprit or culprits to justice. They discover several suspects and decide to set up an unofficial sting operation. Savannah and Pastor Alex Jessup join the Sweet family and Uncle Ichabod for Thanksgiving dinner.

Great read! This series is funny and hang on the edge of your seat. Can not wait to read the next book in the series. I know it will be a very good read. I hope y’all will read this series too. I know you will enjoy it as much as I have. English Loretta, Lucy and Uncle Ichabod are back home from their trip to Las Vegas. Savannah, a friend and neighbor has bad news. Her dog Barkley is disappeared and there are several other small purebred dogs missing in the area as well. The friends decide to investigate the mystery of the missing dogs.
This is a very good written cozy mystery with a great flow and well told. I think it is one of the best in the series so far.
