Summary:
Science fiction alien/human romance. Khiva and Eve have escaped their old lives and made a new home for themselves, but it isn't all plain sailing. Expect some sex - surprisingly little compared to the first book - and a bit of angst.
Instead, drama unfolds as Khiva deals with memories of his missing mother and brother, the toll of working in the mines and the discovery of Eve’s pregnancy. In addition, both Eve and Khiva want to free all of the other Krave who are still in servitude at Madame Allegria’s on Everton and have set a meeting with a United Worlds representative to hopefully open an investigation of the Madame’s misconduct.
And in this time of turmoil, the very foundation of their relationship is shaken.
Can they find their way through all of these issues and, in the end, come out stronger? Does Khiva find his missing mother and brother? Does he continue to toil in the mines or does he make other choices? How does Eve’s pregnancy effect their relationship? Lastly, do they make any progress in bringing Madame Allegria to justice?
This is a wonderful love story that keeps you engaged!
I voluntarily read an exclusive copy of this book, however, this is my honest opinion. Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2) A satisfying - but not spectacular - ending to the two-book series, which also had more cases of missing words and other editing issues.
'Prince' could have done without one long sex scene, which I believe was created to add to the word count rather than enhancing the story. It also had less action than the first book.
I still liked the H/h - Khiva and Eve, as they were very relatable. (I really love Khiva, and not just because he was a blue alien hottie. lol) Draven did a good job with the characters, as one was able to understand their motivations and feelings. Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2) Quick(ish) Review
Continuation from first book but there’s truly not much as far as tension, more of a resolution to some dangling threads for Khiva and Eve. Strictly for completion of their story, not a standalone. Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2) This story follows Khiva and Eve from the first book in this series Kraving Khiva. This is not a stand alone. You really must read the first story. The couple has left Everton and moved to Dumera. It is a slower paced lifestyle and the main industry is mining. The homes are in the jivera trees. Khiva works in the mines by day and Eve works in the archives. In this story, Khiva finally gets word about his family and what happened to them after his planet was destroyed. And Eve has a little news herself. Also, Khiva discovers his brother's best friend, Kavik, is on the planet. On his planet, Khiva was known as The Prince of Firestones. Can Kavik convince Khiva to give up mining and begin making firestones again?
This book is just a wonderful story about family and about putting the past in perspective. Prince of Firestones is not as steamy as the first book, but just as good. Really great story that is artfully woven. Can't wait for the next book about Dravka & Valerie! 4 stars! Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2)

When Eve Tesler booked a visit with one of Madame Allegria’s Krave, notorious alien lovers with special, non-human skills between the sheets, she never thought that she’d fall in love with him…or learn about the dark secrets behind the well-known brothel.
Now, after escaping from Everton with Khiva, they land on Dumera, a neutral colony where they hope to start a future together without having to hide in shadows. But the memory of Madame Allegria and the Krave they’d had to leave behind still haunt them, as does the memory of Khiva’s missing mother and brother.
To complicate matters, as they begin to navigate life together in a new, strange place, something unthinkable happens: Eve becomes pregnant.
PRINCE OF FIRESTONES (43,000+ words) is a follow-up/spin-off novel to KRAVING KHIVA, which should be read first.
The Krave of Everton:
Kraving Khiva: Eve and Khiva
Prince of Firestones: Eve and Khiva
Kraving Dravka: Valerie and Dravka (Coming Early 2019) Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2)
After escaping from Everton and now living on Dumera, their new home colony, Eve and Khiva were very happy. Their dwelling was built within the jivera tree branches because the ground was too soft to support the structures. But they were surrounded by calm peacefulness and loved their new home. They just wished they could do something for the friends they left behind.
As Khiva boarded the transport to his job in the mines, he had to search for a seat. It took a moment to realize that the man he sat next to was also Keriv’i like him, and he was even more surprised that he recognized Kavik, a close friend of Khiva’s younger brother! He hadn’t seen him in the twelve years since their planet Kerivu had been destroyed. But maybe he knew what had happened to Khiva’s mother and brother since then?
Kavik explained that he had been a prisoner of the cruel Jetu to recreate firestones since their fuel resources had been severely restricted since they partnered with those who had destroyed Kerivu. But since only Khiva’s direct line knew how to create the firestones, Kavik had been unable to help them. Although Kavik had not seen Khiva’s family, he had heard that Dhrika, an old friend of his mother, and was given a way to contact him. Would Khiva be able to finally find his family? How would he react to the secret that Eve is about to reveal? Will they find a way to rescue their friends they had to leave behind at the mercy of the cruel Madame Allegria on Everton? There is so much more coming – don’t miss out!
Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2) I was most delightfully surprised when I read the first book in this series, Kraving Khiva so when I saw this one was out I couldn’t get it and read it fast enough.
At only 191 pages, it’s a short story but the shortness of it didn’t take away the enjoyment of this follow up story of Khiva and Eve, the H/H of the first book. This one picks up soon after they have left the planet for the brighter and more accepting planet of Dumera. While once Khiva was almost royalty on his home planet, his life went to hell when it was destroyed. This was all covered in the first book and now they are living and loving together and life is so much better. But there are still issues that keep them from being completely happy. Khiva is still torn over his missing mother and brother. They disappeared when the planet was destroyed and he’s been trying to find word of them ever since. And while Eve is doing well as a book cataloguer, Khiva is working at a dangerous and demanding job in the mines on Dumera. And while it’s still a long way down from once he what was it’s still a lot better than being a sex slave for a sadist like he was doing. They are both still concerned about the people they left behind and work towards saving them.
There’s not a lot of action in this book, more of a look into how they are doing. I love this. So many times we finish a book and wonder how they are doing after the book is finished and here we get to see. Eve and Khiva are still desperately in love with each other and they author does so very well in getting this across to the reader. There are a few bumps along the way but there’s never a question that they will always be together. I enjoyed this one just as much if not a wee bit more than Kraving Khiva.
A note though. One should not read this one without have read the first book. If not, the reader will be completely lost. Ms Draven has plans for more books in this series about those still in their own hell. Since we’ve ‘met’ them in the first book I know I’m going to be getting the next book when it’s released the day it’s released and plan to start reading it right away. As I said in my review of Kraving Khiva, these books and this author are a wonderful example of why I love this genre so much.
Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2) I have a strong dislike of multiple books that follow one couple, so while my bias is screaming, “This could have been one book!”, I don’t think that’s actually true.
This is a continuation of Evelyn and Khiva‘s story. We learn what happened in Khiva’s past and about his family while also watching him and Evelyn build their life together.
Prince of Firestones answered most of the questions and provided closure for what was discussed in Kraving Khiva. For me, that was enough. Although it totally could’ve been one book (but not really).
★★★ Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2) Better
I enjoyed book 2 much more then book 1. I felt more connected to the characters and the story was easier to read and more enjoyable. Prince of Firestones (The Krave of Everton, #2) The writer absolutely has this beautiful style of writing especially when it touches on intimacy and fate. I love it!
