I believe everyone comes into our life for some reason before even knowing that he/she is going to be someone special.

Rupali comes into Siddharth’s life as a classmate, who proposes him instantly. Siddharth, without knowing her desire falls in love with her madly. When she leaves him for a better choice and comes back to him realising her mistake, what choice will he make?

Garv comes into Udi’s life as a senior, who asks the wrong question and gets ashamed with her answer in front of the juniors. Will the meeting end there? Definitely not when it is not meant to be. They slowly become close to each other and when Garv and Udi thinks the closeness as a beginning, he comes across his ex. When Garv tells Udi to stop seeing each other, what choice will Udi make?

Sometimes, we wonder if life is all about our own choices. We put the blame on something else when it doesn’t work and take the credit if it works. But in reality, it is all based on our own choices and Life gives us multiple choices to choose from. Will we choose the right one?

My Rating: 3.5/5 Oscar for loving, Grammy for not! This is woman centric novel where we see that in world full of Rupali's , we have Women like Udi also, whose believe is don't degrade your value for just some materialistic, or emotional pleasures, when it come to self-respect take a stand, and never back down , she shown us when woman start dealing with there self-respect for materialistic pleasure of world she got beaten up like our Vicious , orthodox kind of character like Monu and Anand , who have lust and treat woman like she is a toy. Although in men dominating society, people don't like woman like Udi, head strong, stick to choices, witty, smart and self dependent, because they can't handle straight forwardness and woman who dominate men .
When our male protagonist Garv not able to make himself understand about to move on and come out of from his past relationship and fight with Udi over nothing , she take a decision and put herself first over anything.
She is ideal person for society who stand against ill treatment of women and fought for it to get what is right. Oscar for loving, Grammy for not! Oscar for loving, Grammy for not! By Priyadeep Kaur is a book based on the story of 4 friends - Udi, Garv, Rupali and Siddharth. The book is based on the theme of balancing friendship and love.

I absolutely loved the very attractive title and the cover of the book. The book has various chapters with titles starting like the law of attraction, the law of universe, the law of friendship, and etc. The story is very fast paced so won't bore at all.

The character of Udi is very strongly potrayed as a strong independent women. It's only her character which is quite very well narrated by the author, but other characters like Garv and Siddharth I felt was lacking somewhere.

The entire story was very conservative, which I liked about this book. Though, I felt that plot was kind of poor in terms of narration and week characters. I loved how the author has explained the meaning of the title in end, because without that the reader would have failed to connect the dots between the plot and the title. **A wise girl loves, but not more than her self- respect,
She listens but doesn't believe,
She becomes your choice for life, but never an option,
And, she leaves before she is left. **

Opposite attracts, isn't it?? Here we have 2 pair of couples who fall in love wit each other despite knowing each other's falacies and differences .Udi Bose an independent, passionate and strong-willed girl when falls in love with a boy name Garv who is as much as opposite in nature from her and who is still has not overcome from his past relationship, how smoothly will their relationship move forward or it will stumble as time passes ?? On the other hand we have Siddharth a simple and caring boy who madly falls in love with Rupali, a desperate and money minded girl , do you think their relationship will survive with time??

Oscar For Loving And Grammy For Not! is a book beautifully blend with romance and friendship. Throughout the book I completely fell in love with Uri. Whether her boldness or her stan for her friends or speaking for the right one and most importantly holding to her self-respect, I enjoyed reading her character. Garv was too not a bad one but he was too much emotionally unstable and a failure in making the right decision. The most beautiful relationship for me in this book was the friendship between Siddharth and Uri. Every character in this book was well written.

The book was engaging and keep you hook till the end. Its a small book of 190 pages so its definitely a fast read. The cover of the book is cute and the title too is creative. Oscar for loving, Grammy for not! Oscar For Loving, Grammy For Not! by Priyadeep Kaur is a romance fiction which talks about relationships.
The title made me grab the book. An interesting title which grabs all the attention of readers. The storyline revolves around strong and independent young women Udi and her friends Siddarth and Rupali. The Story which focuses on love and friendship both at the same time. A different kind of story that ends up with moral. The narration of the story is really good and fast-paced.
The author Priyadeep Kaur is a 19-year-old published author. Being a writer (Malayalam) I am very happy to read this book. I think the author used her boldness and character to develop the main character Udhi. I would like to congratulate Priyadeep for her passion and dedication to write.
I finished it in one sitting. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It's easy to read and easy to understand ignoring the hardships to understand the meaning of some Bengali words.
Simply this book inspires you to be strong and show you different sides of love and beauty of friendship. Oscar for loving, Grammy for not!

A very empowering and women concentric novel which was an absolute delight to read.

Throughout the book I completely fell in love with Uri. It was her boldness, her stand for her friends and always speaking for the right thing and standing with her self-respect, I enjoyed reading her character the most as it was what this generation females aspire to be somewhere in their mind. The characterization of Rupali, Garv and Siddharth was also very nice and apt with few of their flaws on the sleeves of their shirt.⁣ The story is packed with warmth and gentle humor which would keep you engage through out your reading time. The cover of the book is attractive. The plot of the story is interesting and the author very well narrated the story. The language of the story is easy to understand.

Would definitely recommend others to tread this beautiful book! Oscar for loving, Grammy for not! A rom-com, woman-centric novel with clear narration. The story revolves around Udi Bose, who admires the meaning of her name. Udi is strong and puts her self-respect above all. For her success matters the most.
.
With fewer complex words and fair storyline, this book is about the lives of Udi-Garv and Rupali-Siddharth and their choices in life that hold the ultimate reins to everything their life depends on.
.
Even though I pretty much liked the narration but it could have been more lively. There were few grammatical errors that could have been easily rectified with adequate editing. Also, I wasn't much elated with the climax. So, read it if you want a typical Indian bollywood romance and a very light read. Oscar for loving, Grammy for not! [REVIEW]
The plot of the book is following two love stories of Udi and Garv & Siddharth and Rupali. Both the stories have characteristics of love, money and fate. The moral of the story line is consciousness and life altering choices. The good point of the book was focus on the friendships and bonds. The thing that was a throw off was the very basic and monotonous storyline. There is no uniqueness in the story and is something that is read in every second book. One more liking factor is a strong protagonist. To some extent the characters are nicely packed at times. The narration needs a lot of work as it does not flow with the reader. The grammatical mistakes are a big no-no as it breaks the flow. The cover is not unique to the story, it is a copy of a very famous book which only degrades the story.
