Never Call Home By K.J. Kalis

The third instalment in the Jess Montgomery series focuses in a large part on Jess’ recovering drug addict sister Rachel, and her efforts to stay ahead of a drug cartel in Boston after accidentally picking up a precious flash drive. The story flicks between Rachel, Jess who is aware her sister is in trouble but until near the end has no idea what kind or how serious, and Hugo the cartel leader. I’ve marked it four stars because there are a couple of obvious plot flaws, but also I’m not convinced by Jess’ transformation from a data analyst to a semi professional killer. Don’t let that deter you, this was still a nail biting read. Never Call Home
This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.

Never Call Home The third book in a Jess Montgomery Thriller Series, this novel is completely stand-alone but the series is really special. I thoroughly enjoy Jess Montgomery. She is feisty, opinionated, and stubborn. Her sister Rachael is a bit needy but well-loved by Jess. Even when she does seem to drag her into pretty explosive situations. With the help of Milton, her border collie companion, her brother Chase, coworker Gemma, the odd assist from her boss Charlie and training sessions with Spencer her life is pretty full. But she can always find time to rescue Rachael. If Rachael would just answer her phone.
