Great informative book! Definitely good for people just starting to get into foraging in the Midwest Lisa M. Rose This was a good book to get started with. The only thing I wish they had added was pictures of the plant in different stages. As in sprout, fruit, flower, etc. The Author does say to use this book as a guide but to do further research on your own. I will Lisa M. Rose Still going through it, but definitely a great intro to foraging! I found the lay out of the book very useful. Like twords the beginning, it has every plant listed by season to harvest. Its not jam packed with all kinds of stuff to prepare foraged stuff, but it has room to Lisa M. Rose

I’m sure the book is great. Unfortunately, shipping wasn’t kind to it. It’s warped now. Hopefully it settles back into a normal shape over time. Lisa M. Rose Great addition to my other books for foraging Lisa M. Rose Great reference book on midwest edible plants Lisa M. Rose Good collection of plants useful in my area. The book was delivered slightly damaged through. I feel it's not going to be to big of a deal. I'm sure this book will get a lot bends in its lifetime. Lisa M. Rose Mostly great lakes region, not the REST of the midwest, and if you bought her foraging book, it has much the same info in fact some verbatim repeats. If you want medicinal info, buy this book instead of the foragers guide, since there isn't much of an advantage to owning Lisa M. Rose
