It's a great book. Cool inspiration and it's in details. It's black/white pictures inside, but that doesn't really matter tbh. Some of the scenarios are not that well explained in the pictures, but the text compliments it well. All in all, it's a cool little tool if you're in need of some inspiration for your script writing or on set production. Inglés This was very good. I had a look at V 1 but didn't find it quite so useful, but then someone new to filmmaking would probably get a lot out of it. I've filmed many, many dialogue scenes and was feeling a bit jaded with the process and found myself slipping into the same staging and tried & trusted shots over & over again. Simple is nearly always better but it's nice to have a bit of inspiration sometimes and this was a good little refresher.Obviously how you film a scene depends on what it's about and what you're trying to say but there are some good general principles in here that you can apply in lots of cases. Inglés This is a really great and we'll researched book that is interesting and you learn from throughout. My only majore gripe is the size of it. It's so large it sometimes becomes a struggle to hold or read, if you're at a table it's fine, other than that it becomes annoying. Great book tho if you want to increase your vocabulary for shooting dialogue. Inglés Although not as useful as his first book this is way better than the other reviews are showing. I think they have both been put off by the black and white images and have not read or used the book in any detail. (Just because the pictures are in black and white doesn't force you to make a black and white film after all.) I am currently writing and directing my first feature and I am using both of the Master Shots books to improve the script and storyboards to make it cinematic. Dialogue scenes can be very dull and this book gives a hundred ways to liven them up. Admittedly I won't be using all one hundred, but I will use a fair few of them. Not only does the book give specific examples it also encourages improvisation by giving the theory behind the shots. A great book and a great companion to the first book. When is number 3 coming out Inglés Excellent book for those looking at capturing shots without needlessly wasting time and wondering how. Inglés
