This book has everything I love! Basic sketches of main characters, songs, poems, recipes, additional information about Krynn. Otik's spiced potatoes has been tried and tested so many times by me. (though I have to admit I alter it a bit, so it's become Tenshichan's Spiced Potatoes, hehe!) 255 The recipe for the Sour Cream Walnut Cake is excellent! 255 Interesante, pero...
El título original del libro en inglés es Leaves from the Inn of the Last Home y siento que una traducción del título -por lo menos aproximada- sería mejor que Apéndices.
Los apéndices se supone que complementan a un texto y tendrían que ser un elemento que ayude a la comprensión de éste. En el caso de estos Apéndices lo que tenemos es un libro que en realidad es más un pequeño compendio de cosas misceláneas, un listado de algunas otras, pequeños resúmenes de otras cosas y hasta relatos cortos en medio de todo.
Se supone que éste sería un libro escrito por Caramon Majere y estuve un poco escéptica al principio, pero realmente me pareció que no tenía ni pies ni cabeza, así que resultó más plausible que un personaje como Caramon lo escribiera. Parece que sólo fueron anexando cosas, sin conexión las unas con las otras excepto que son detalles sobre el mundo de Krynn. La utilidad que le encuentro sería mucho más en el sentido del juego de rol de Dragonlance que para entender o completar la narrativa en general.
En algún momento me entusiasmó el hecho de que hubiera una visión general sobre aspectos de la serie, infelizmente es sobre fragmentos pequeños de la misma, y tengo la leve impresión de que Weis y Hickman generalmente cuando citan otras historias citan las suyas mientras ignoran las de los otros autores, tratándolas como si fueran leyendas, mitos, secretos, rumores, etc., así que en general, si ya hemos leído esas no aprendemos tantas cosas nuevas en Apéndices, excepto refrescar la memoria.
En resumen, útil como un pequeño compendio, pero más como para hojear que para tomar muy en serio.

This book straddles the line between game resource and an appendix to the Dragonlance Chronicles trilogy. It doesn't really succeed at either. The potatoes recipe is great.
