La glyptique mésopotamienne archaïque

This is essentially an art book composed of some 1500 line drawings. They date from the earliest seals (circa 5th millennium BCE) down to the Akkadian period (mid 3rd millennium BCE).
To judge by the way they are done they are actually tracings drawn from all manner of site publications. To be honest, many of these tracings are not very good; many lack detail and some deviate from the original photos.
The value of this book is the sheer number of images. It is possible to trace back icons and images through the ages and that can be very useful when trying to gauge the origins of a particular motif and how it has changed over time. Pierre Amiet
