A Kind of Spark is a lovely story about difference and about acceptance. It tells the story of Addie. Addie is autistic and finds life a bit difficult sometimes. Things that neurotypical people take for granted Addie struggles with on daily basis. When she and A Kind of Spark Many of the books I’ve read which have been published this year are ones which I have picked up as a result of my curiosity being triggered by seeing them on Twitter. This is one such read – one which has generated interest and discussion than any other, and one which A Kind of Spark A book that could inspire important conversations. Should be widely read. Very distressing themes. I work with autistic adults and highly recommend this book to anyone else who does. A Kind of Spark Addie is autistic and is bullied at school for being different, but not just by the pupils. Her teacher makes no effort to understand her, nor make any allowances for her different approach to her work. When Addie finds out that a number of women from her village A Kind of Spark The central character, Addie is autistic, as is one of her older sisters. A school history project about witch trials turns into a bit of a crusade for Addie as she identifies with the women who were unjustly targeted for being different. This story gives a great insight A Kind of Spark
