At age 10, John Quincy followed his father to Europe. His father put him in a private boarding school. He learned French and Latin. At 12, he graduated, a year later he and his father travelled to Amsterdam. At 14, the American Diplomat of Russia asked John Adams if John Quincy Adams could go with him to Russia as an interpreter. While he was in Russia, during the cold winter he sat by the fire read books.

When the weather became warmer he returned to his father in Amsterdam, only after stopping by Scandinavia and Germany and London. By now John Quincy, was grown, age 16. He and his father returned to America to a long awaited homecoming. Once home John Quincy enrolled in Harvard, graduated second in his class. He studied law and became an Attorney. George Washington sent him back to the Netherlands. At age 27, while in London he married his lovely beautiful British lady. Later they returned with a baby back to America. He became a Senate in 1802 he presided over the Louisiana Purchase as Napoleon gave up the Louisiana territory in exchange for 15 million dollars. In 1824 he was elected the Sixth President of the United States.

On February 2, 1848, John Quincy Adams died of a stroke as he attended a heated debate going on among the representatives in Congress.
