Inconceivable: a novel By Jordan Taylor

A serial killer who cannot stand the sight of blood. His partner, who cannot decipher human behavior. A mission to make the world a better place—one death at a time.

By inheriting a cabin in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, outside of Seattle, two killers discover an ideal location to advance their goals. For a price. To pursue this opportunity they must face new territory, build new strategies, and start fresh with a thriving social scene that conceals their private hobby.

Inconceivable is a deadly thriller that draws readers into the haunted minds of two men who depend on each other to balance crippling weaknesses, battle their demons, and defy society.

Added to my 2021 PopSugar book challenge for prompt #36. A book that has less than 1k reviews on Amazon or Goodreads. This fit the prompt way better than my other choice.

Between a 4 and a 4.5 I guess. Wow what a sleeper hit. As of this review there are only 5 written reviews. Wild. This book isn’t for everyone. It’s not even for most or many.

It is DARK, it is SICK, it is NOT a romance but it’s something. We follow two pretty messed up people in the book. Rape and murder, Raping WHILE murdering if you get down to it. Hannibal “kill the rude” vibes, all the way. And yet after the first two chapters I was captivated. I only ran across this because I saw it on Aleksandr Voinov’s favourate shelf. Glad I did. Inconceivable: a novel Love this. Inconceivable: a novel Holy Hell.

I couldn't put it down, it was such an amazing story that is unlike any other. It reminded me of quil carter's silent ground with the MCs and it was perfect. The characters the angst the terrible terrible pasts, it was so original and refreshing. It's going to be really hard to find a book that matches this. Inconceivable: a novel Again, between 3 and 4 stars. Closer to 4 I think though.

Not for the faint hearted! Lots of warnings here.

This was such an interesting way to write the story. I loved the idea behind it and, even though it started off slow to begin with, it became clear it was to help get the reader into the mindset between these two main characters.

Sometimes I have a hard time when POV switches especially when random outsiders are added into the mix, but besides a few, I think that aspect was done well.

I thought the ending was absolutely perfect. I was wondering how it could possibly go and was extremely pleased and actually surprised by it.

Great job Taylor! I will check out other books by this author as well. Inconceivable: a novel Genuinely enjoyed this book. It's a true hidden gem, so much so that Everybody's Dead Podcast did an entire episode on it. (http://everybodysdeadpodcast.libsyn.c...) Inconceivable: a novel
