I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5) By Chicki Brown
Nick Stafford is the youngest in his family. He's recently graduated from medical school and finished his internship. Everything was going well for him until Cherilyn, his girlfriend of two years, starts hinting about marriage. The thought of adding more responsibility to the pressure he is already facing getting ready to take the last of his board exams and the nearly quarter of a million dollars in student loan debt already hanging over his head is too much. He breaks off their relationship.
Eight months later, he runs into Cherilyn at an event on the arm of another doctor, and she's wearing an engagement ring. Seeing her with another man stirs up a jealousy like he's never experienced before. Now all Nick can think of is how he can get her back.

Don't leave me don't every go away
Cherylin and Nick when fear comes in and communication is not as effective as it should be, one's relationship experiences woos that it would not have had too. As we take the journey with Cher and Nick we see each has their own family dynamics that help shape them into the adults they are. The Stafford being a very strong, supportive nurturing family is just what Cher needs as her and Nick seek to reconcile. As it's hard not to have the support of one's parents especially when you are in love and want them to share in your join. It's a tale where second or even third chances are needed in order for love to prevail. I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5) Again Thanks
Having completed this book, I am eagerly awaiting the next one in the Stafford Brothers series. Well written, the reader is engaged and nearly a full participant in the story line. I enjoy laughing out loud too. I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5) I enjoyed this story about a second chance to make the right choice. The heartache involved with making the tough choices can be overwhelming at times. This story gave the reader the complete picture from the beginning to the end which I loved. The reader was informed of why the decisions had been made by all parties, showing that humans can make mistakes, and learn from them. How one person's choices can affect more than themselves and the consequences that ensue from them. I enjoyed this series and I plan to read more from this author. Nick and Cher.. And Baby boy is a Real Man
So Nick finally got the chance to be a grown@ss man in his story. At first I was a little upset with the beginning of the story. I also though his less than thoughtful news should have been apparent to him. The way he took more than he gave in his relationship with Cher. Then once they were back together; Cherilyn on the other hand, took withholding sex to another level. The story was a bit repetitive, but enjoyable. Nicks constant worries about money was just annoying at some point. I like the Stafford men.. All of them are so hot!!! A solid 4.5 stars for me.. I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5) A love so deep!
I think this was my favorite in the series so far! Cherilyn and Nick were perfect for one another! I loved their romance and how Cher stood up to her controlling mother! The Stafford's really take family serious, it was so nice how they pulled together for the wedding/honeymoon! Loved the entire story! Now I'm on to Jesse and his wife! I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5) Another great Stafford Brothers story!
Loved this story. I love the depiction of a strong family unit with close and supportive relationships . I also appreciate the fact that though each of the Stafford Brothers is succesful, each one of the wives has her own career, business or passion. It's really quite inspirational ! Can't wait to see what book 6 has in store. I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5) Finished it in less than a day
I read this book out of order...I hasn't realized I missed Nick's story before I read Inner City Blues. But it didn't matter. I was hooked from the beginning. While I wasn't a huge fan of Cher's during most of it, I did enjoy the story of her and the youngest Stafford brother coming together. Once again, I loved the overall family dynamic, and I almost wish there would be a sequel since the issues with Cher and her mother seem unfinished, and at one point I almost expected a confrontation of some kind between Cher and Nick's mothers (don't know why...Lillian just always seems to save the day. :) ).
I rates it four out of five stars only because for me, it lacked a little of the 'UMMPH' that the other books had. Just barely, though. Still lived it, and I'll definitely be reading this one again. I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5) I Want You Back is book 5 in the Stafford Brothers series, and is Nick's and Cher's story. It has one heck of a beginning, and continues building in drama throughout--one peak to the next, until it finally concludes with a beautiful sigh of relief and satisfaction. Nick, the youngest of the Stafford brothers, is at the end of his medical residency, and preparing for the final part of his licensing exams. Cher, is a college music professor and private vocal coach. She also became a runaway bride, thanks to Nick, and they now have to work their way back to each other, if possible. It wasn't a lack of love that doomed their previous relationship, but what Cher sees as her having done most of the giving and Nick, most of the taking. To avoid a recurrence, Cher decides that if Nick is sincere about his profession of love and desire to marry her, their relationship will be platonic dating. She hopes that it will ultimately push Nick to step up his game, propose, and marry her, unlike before, when he became comfortable with her acting like a wife without being one.
Author Chicki Brown has done it again! While I went through a range of emotions with both Nick and Cher, it is a credit to the author's wonderful storytelling skills, as well as excellent plot and character development, that pulled me and held my attention to the conclusion. Kudos to Chicki Brown on a job well done. I Want You Back (The Stafford Brothers #5)
