Hurts So Good (The Fighters of Absinthe, #3) By Jenika Snow

Hurts

Loved it! Jenika Snow never fails to amaze me how she's able to pack so much of a story in a quick read. Mack's a badass MMA fighter & uses the fights as an outlet for his aggression & anger. Jane's so innocent & sweet. Mack & Jane's storyline has romance & emotion as well everlasting love. Loved their reconnect, forgiveness for the past & second chances. Can't wait for more in this series. Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary Sad, sad story. Not hot, just sad. Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary There were some extremely hot scenes in this book, two to be exact, and that was kind of disappointing, but there were really, really hot!

No insta-love here, just a young love gone awry, and longing over each other for a decade, of course he nailed everything in sight, and she is in a long-term relationship, but details, details.

Some angst, but not a lot, because that is what drives me batty about reunion books, when they focus on the past instead of what they could have moving forward. The story is jargled, in that, everything they say, they do the opposite with no explanation, and when they get advice, they just disregard it without reason, but hey, did I mention the two extremely hot scenes???

If you are looking for a quick, smexy story, then pick this up, you won't be left wanting, or you will, but not for the story Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary This is a short book at 107 pages but there's a lot packed in and nothing felt rushed- it was perfect!

Mack and Jane have the perfect high school romance with a bright future until it all comes to a halt the day Mack's parents die. Jane has finally come home after 10 years. She knows things are going to be tough when she finally see's Mack again, but she never excepted all her feels to come crashing back to the surface. Mack lives a quite life, and when he lay's eye's Jane he knows what's been missing. She is the calm to his storm. Now he is going to have to fight for her because he is not giving her up this time. Some hot, juicy sex scenes. Fabulous Ending. Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary LOVING THIS SERIES

This author never ceases to surprise me. I've read lots of her books she can do erotic, sensuous and sweetly romantic. But you always feel the connection between her H/h. This story the third in The Fighters of Absinthe is much more romantic than the first two.

Mack and Jane had been in love at aged 18, they already knew theirs was a forever kind of love. But then Mack's parents were killed in an accident. Mack turned in on himself and pushed everyone away most of all Jane. Booze and drugs became his crutches, till Harlond found him and helped him back on the road to recovery. Mack is now a feared underground fighter. It's been 10 years since he last saw Jane, she's now moved back home to Absinthe, but she's in a relationship with someone else.

I really liked this, it's a heartfelt story of second chance love. It's not as peppered with sex as some of her other books, but that works just fine as it fits perfectly for this. I loved Mack and Jane they were great together. I hope that there are going to be more books to follow. There are still plenty of sexy MMA fighters at the training centre whom I would love to get their own stories.
Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary

*3.5 stars* Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary Emotional and heart warming. It showed how someone can hit rock bottom and come back from almost being dead. Mack and Jane is my favorite couple yet. Ĺoved the ending, perfect way to mend a hurt heart. Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary Mack's had a tragic past and Mack pushed Jane away. They reconnect after 10 years and there is still such a chemistry between these two. It was a fast moving book and I enjoyed it. Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary 3.5 stars Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary Good story, but not exactly my favorite.

Why? Mostly because I feel like Jane's too caught up in Mack. I mean, come on. It's been ten years, dude. At least have one or two real relationship then ended up with Mack again. And Mack isn't exactly my favorite too. He's selfish. Enough said.

But overall I enjoyed it. :) Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary

Jane Reynolds left the man she loved when he turned his back on her for the chemical kind of comfort. Years have passed and she is back in the town of Absinthe. But when she sees Mack fighting brutally in an abandoned warehouse and her love for him rises violently to the surface.

But Jane has someone in her life. Can Mack show her he is worthy of her love before she commits herself to another? Hurts So Good (The Fighters of Absinthe, #3)
