I had just lost a horse love of mine at a rescuethis love was adoptedunfortunately the rescue I volunteered at didn't allow me to say byeas a veteran with ptsd, my time at the rescue was on and off, however, I bonded with this horse and contributed financially to this horse and when I was gone from the rescue for almost a month due to medical reasons, I came backeager to see this horse because this horse gave me hope and was my reason for wakingwell, I went to the pasture to get this love horse of mine to groom when the rescue owners right hand gal told me I couldn't groom this horse because there was a contract on himwell, I was devastated and felt like my hope was gone and never went back to the rescue, my hope was just goneuntil I read this book and read the stories of how others didn't give up on their horse dreams even though years passed since they were with horsesseems like the horse calls to those who have this special gift of hearing the horse and the spirit of the horse doesn't give up on us humans either At times I was frustrated because it seems like these people were given opportunities I could only dream of but I found myself cheering these people on and hope that I,too, one day will have a story like these to share.
