Definitely a book worth reading. Kindle Edition A little romantic trio that will take you on a roller coaster. Stefan and Melissa /Mel meet at a party and have an immediate attraction but he is called away. Then enters his best friend Dean who sweeps Mel off her feet and they enter into a five year relationship, Lots of drama as Stefan is always on her mind. Amazing she continued to spend those five years with Dean when her heart was elsewhere. Dean was not my favorite character. In my opinion he was hard to like. The revolving door comes into the picture and Dean is out and Stefan is back. But confusion sets in as neither wants to hurt Dean's feeling. The book is well written and the characters have some substance. The back and forth banter was cute and the drama was over the top at times. This was not what I expected. I was excited for Melissa story after reading a bit about her character in “His Fake Wife.” She did not disappoint. She was lively, bubbly, sarcastic, and strong. I could go on for hours. I didn’t expect to like Stefan as he was breaking the “bro code.” Surprisingly, I really liked him. He was so genuine and sincere, a complete opposite of Melissa’s ex. He truly loved Melissa for everything. The ending was also a complete surprise. (I’ve put in down below in a spoiler alert.) Their story was a good one and I am pleased with their ending. I look forward to the next books in this series. This entire series has been nothing but spectacular. I loved the background of the characters and how their story developed. It transitioned from one scene to the next so well. I loved that the characters knew when they were wrong and tried doing the best thing that they could do.

*SPOILER ALERT* Melissa’s ex was a complete arse. He was a horrible boyfriend and an even worse friend. I was actually pretty happy that he wasn’t a good guy or I’d feel really bad for him. He didn’t deserve either of them to give him all the love they had.

Kindle Edition Melissa (“Mel”) broke up with her boyfriend, Dean, after their 5-year relationship. Yet she didn’t feel bad about it. She felt only freedom. She called her best friend Gabby who was missing their girl’s night dinner at the hotel restaurant. But Gabby had met a guy and he had a friend, so she told Mel to come on over. Instead, Mel chose to just sit there and celebrate her easy break-up. She and Dean never had that “spark” and she rarely paid attention to the things he said, which were mostly negative. She thought back to Dean’s friend she had met first 6 years ago, Stefan Silvetti. She had definitely felt a “spark” meeting him. And then she heard his voice say, “Melissa?”

They had met at a college party. Stefan hated the parties where everyone acted like children and was only there to keep his friend happy. When he spotted the lovely girl with a look of discomfort on her face, probably very much like his own, he figured she was either a freshman at her first party or tired of this scene as he was. People stepped in front of her and then she was gone. He spotted her and tried to follow, but the star quarterback drunkenly tried to get her to dance. Stefan was about to step in when a woman next to his “Angel” stepped up and threatened the guy! When the two of them finished acting like they would kill off the jock and bury his body, he ran off. Stefan applauded their method and he and Melissa Carson enjoyed each other’s company, especially when he invited her to go somewhere private. She asked if that was to make out like all the rest here – but he told her no, it was too loud here and he wanted to hear everything she had to tell him about herself. This man was classy.

After the instant connection with Stefan, it was upsetting when his grandfather was dying and he was called at that party to come home. When he returned to Melissa, Dean was there flirting with her. Then she walked away with him. So Stefan left. He had no time to track her down now, but he felt heartbroken as he left.

With Stefan now back and Mel broken up with Dean, will they pursue the relationship they should have established but didn’t get the chance for? And what happens when Dean wants her back? The dialog in this story is wonderfully written and really makes the reader feel the relationship that grows between Mel and Stefan. The touch of humor, with a terrific friend like Gabby who speaks her mind and puts actions to her words, made the story perfect. Grab your copy and enjoy! See if Stefan and Mel, always thoughtful of other’s feelings, will back off from each other or finally go for the love each of them has held since the night they met.

I love this book! The characters are amazing! Melissa has grown a lot since first meeting her in her sister's story HIS FAKE WIFE and she still has that energy and determination. Stefan is one gorgeous, sexy Italian. Their chemistry was off the charts. I was happy to see the Thorne brothers finally getting along. This book is smoking hot and I highly recommend it! Alina Parker has another hit book!

Kindle Edition This story had me so wrapped up in it from the start. Stefan is a man of honor that is for sure. Dean on the other hand is the worst piece of garbage that there is in this world. Melissa is a bit of a wishy-washy female for the most part. She just wants to see the good in everyone but you can't do that in life. Melissa breaks up with Dean after five years in a relationship with him and does not even feel bad. Dean has done some horrid things to Melissa over the years and most she acts as if she didn't know. Stefan has been in love with Melissa since he first laid eyes on her. He had no idea the length that Dean went to get Melissa for himself. Glad she broke it off with him. She has feelings for Stefan just not realizing what they really are since Dean was her first in everything. The question is will Stefan and Melissa be able to talk about stuff after not seeing each other for four years that he has stayed away from her because he can't handle his feelings? Or will Melissa move on and just be alone for a while? Grab this book and check out the sorted drama and get caught up in this tale.

Have you ever read a book that is simple and fast paced yet so intriguing and complete ? This book is exactly that, the plot isn’t complex , it was for the most part a smooth flowing book that I couldn’t put down until the very last page.

Melissa and Stefan first met at a college party, there was an instant connection between them but a phone call and Stevan’s weasel of a best friend put a stop to what would have been a wonderful relationship according to Mel’s best friend.
Fast forward a few years Melissa and Stefan meet again after Melissa ends her five year relationship with the weasel. They go through some road blocks in their relationship which is normal but at the end they get the happily ever after they got robbed off .

I'll start with the not so fantastic. There were quite a few typos, words missing, incomplete words and incorrect words in the advanced reader copy. The beginning of the book was kind of slow and didn’t immediately grab a hold of me.
Now on to the fabulousness!
I loved this sweet story. The couple, Melissa and Stefan, were what every couple should strive to be. His complete adoration, love and affection were described so perfectly, that I could picture it, could feel it (in the words) and could wish for a love so true. Melissa was amazing in her need to be independent, yet her willingness to be loved and cherished. Her friendship with Gabby was an example of willingness to love and be loved. Gabby was truly spectacular!
Overall, even with the minor typos here and there it was a beautiful story. I hope to find a love as pure and true as Stefan's and Melissa's one day! Kindle Edition
