It's easy to find books on German, Russian, British, and American tanks but try to find information of armor of other nations. Osprey has filled the gap with two volumes for the French. This volume (2) is on the Cavalry Tanks. (French ard doctrine had not changed significantly from WWI. A cavalry tank's primary function was to exploit a breach in enemy lines made by attacking infantry. Cavalry tanks were supposed to attack the enemy's rear areas in the traditional style of 19th century horse cavalry. This idea was also followed by the British (cruiser tanks), Russians (BT tanks), USA (M3 Stuart), and others.) This in turn affected French tank design and deployment. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the design and development of French armor.
