It deals with the first 7 tasks with performables out of total of 30 tasks that are an integral part of the sex addicts recovery journey. The material included in Facing the Shadows does provide, as Carnes Facing the Shadow: Starting Sexual and Relationship Recovery Facing the Shadow is good work book for those of us that have some sexual addiction issues. It is definitely not for the light of heart. My therapist recommended that I get it and begin working through it. It gets incredibly deep and uncomfortable. However it really Facing the Shadow: Starting Sexual and Relationship Recovery Recommended by my therapist. I haven't cracked it after four weeks, but it's my understanding it really helps the recovery and sobriety process. I really liked Carnes Out of the Shadows, so I'm sure this one will cover most of the same stuff.Good Luck! I am using it for codependency and love addiction. I just change the words sex addiction to my personal issues. It is a challenge but I believe it will be worth it.
