My Opinion: We often read stories of courage but I am sure you wouldn't have read something like this before. This is a very simple yet a very strong and beautiful story of a common man who has his own struggles and he is stuck in the web of corporate world, things are not really in his favor, he is broken and confused at times but when he is guided by the above force, his problems start to solve and he feels like he is been supported by the almighty. Firstly, just like the title itself suggests, it's a story of an ordinary man but his circumstances aren't ordinary and the way he gets guidance, also the way his character motivated me was very precious. The writing is extremely simple and so easy to understand.

Good and Bad: I think the best part of the story is, it's very uncertain, unique and simple. It's not dramatic or extra spicy when it's not needed and I really liked that because it made it more realistic and relatable.

My favorites from the book:

The message it gives, it's very special and I realized that within a very short period of time, I was acquainted with many values and life lessons.

Target Audience: I think it's for everyone, the basic purpose of the story is to help all it's readers to find a path when in confusion or a problem, it also teaches it's readers so much through the protagonist character.

What to expect: An inspiring and entertaining story of someone with whom you will surely relate.

Final verdict: I think it's a great short read which should not be missed, especially if you are also finding way and light in your life.

First of all I would like to thank the authors for writing this beautiful book.

Born in a middle class family in Gwalior , Kartik is the protagonist of this story. His father was the caretaker of temple and his generous character is very well portrayed. Initially Kartik felt that he was “Anachronistic” born in the wrong era! After joining the corporate world he started facing obstacles but was always guided mysteriously by the universe. He became so engrossed in his work that he didn't care to meet his family during occasions even but some huge regrets were on their way!

A chronology of dreadful events! Complications in Devsena's life ( wife ) followed by death of his parents during Kedarnath tragedy. Kartik's world was upside down so he took a leave for a few days but as soon as he returned , he came to know that there was a conspiracy against him and his image was at stake. No one was there to support him , everyone was busy gossiping about him , embarassment was everywhere. Who did the fraud ? Will Kartik be able to prove himself or will he quit forever ? Read the book to know everything.

The book is a blend of subtle emotions we don't talk about. How ego , greed and obsession over something could ruin you in seconds. How we are chasing this materialistic world when it was never ours and would never be. The idea of how one could find God within himself is beautifully explained through this story. How jealousy could dominate someone's mind so much that they could do anything against people to win. We all are just being a prey to each other. It teaches us something important ! One should always oppose prejudice and discrimination. And if you have that power within , you could defeat darkness. ”God helps those who help themselves.”

Talking about the language , it was lucid and anyone could pick up this book. The storyline was amazing and it could change anyone's perspective towards life. I would highly recommend this book as Kartik's story could be yours!

Thank You.
Review By - Varuni Maheshwari Fiction, Business, Nonfiction Extraordinary fate of an ordinary man is a story of Karthik. An ordinary boy who's busy in enjoying his college days. His life is a mere reflection of the way most of us would've lived our college days.
As the book very aptly mentions, river Ganga which is, purest at Gangotri with sparkling white water, but as it progresses down the mountains, towards the city, it absorbs the filth and turns dark.
Where Gangotri-childhood and progression towards other areas is our teenage days.
Realising his mistake at an early he works hard and achieve what he desires for himself. But as happens with everyone of us with success comes ego;with Karthik his ego and desire to achieve more much more than what he could sustain results in shattering and what happens next is a history!!
We can draw many parallel between his life and ours own. With every chapter we learn a new lesson.Truth be told, these aren't new lessons that we'll be learning but we ought to remind ourselves these every now and then.
Writing style is very simple and easy to understand. There are some very deep quotes. What I really liked is the verses from Bhagvad Geeta.
I'll recommend this to every teenager!

Fiction, Business, Nonfiction Kartik is a middle class man, grew up with the learnings and teachings of his father. His father had a great influence on him. Kartik just like any other college student wasted his initial months in college by chilling or bunking classes with friends but a realization hits him which makes him feel guilty for wasting his most precious time when he could do something that could make his parents proud. He gets married to Devsena and thinks now everything is settled in his life but what about the greed one faces when they climb the ladder of success? Kartik started ignoring his loved ones and threw himself completely into work. What will be the result of this?

It's a novella and the language is not so bookish so even beginners can read and understand this book. Moreover as it's a short read, it will relax you.

From the title I couldn't understand or have any idea about the story and when I started reading it, I finished it in almost two sittings. After a long time I read any book this short and with some meaningful chapters.

What I liked the most about the book was the spiritual touch this book offers us as it's rarely found in books these days. The book follows a practical approach towards life so you are completely saved from reading unrealistic things in this book.

Over all a great book to start with if you are looking for a short read or you are going through a reading slump. Fiction, Business, Nonfiction

This is the story of Karthik, a middle-class man, who initially felt he was born in the wrong generation. The book has described the Karthik's life from his childhood to being an adult. He was born in Gwalior, in a family where his father was the caretaker of the temple.
Karthik grew up with the learnings and teachings of his father. His father had a great impact on him.
Karthik used to be the backbencher in his college life, he used to bunk the classes and always more involved in games and parties. But as he grew up and joined the corporate world, he has to deal with the Corporate corrupt system and Corporate discrimination all around. and it's an unfair way of working.
This made him realize that he wasted all his precious time when he could do something much better that can make his parents feel proud.
He gets married to a girl named Devsena and thinks everything is now pretty perfect in his life but what about the cruel faces when you climb the ladder of success? Kartik started ignoring his loved ones and get himself completely into work. What will be the result of this?
This book will keep you interested till the end with the questions like-
Will Karthik fight back or just accept the consequences as his fate?? Or will Kartik strike back against discrimination and corrupt system or will he just sit, watch and accept the consequences as his fate?
This book teaches us to have patience and gives us so many life lessons that we must have learned to live a happy and peaceful life.
What I seriously liked in this book is the Beginning from a quote of Bhagwat Geeta that refresh your thoughts.
Khud ko khokar, jisne tumko sajaya Apne astitva ko bhulakar tumhe dil se apanyaa Kyu wo aaj bhi parai si hai …? Uski soch, tamannao se tumhe ruswai si hai this poem in this book hits me hard.
When you read the book You don’t feel like you are reading a book, it feels like you are living the character Kartik.
The author has described the events of life in a very fantastic way. Fiction, Business, Nonfiction Book: Extraordinary Fate of an ordinary man

Whenever we are in trouble in life, God helps us in unimaginable ways. This book teaches us strength and to have patience. We should always keep our ego in check. Power and money is important for living but we should not neglect the more important things in life like our family. Work-Home balance is very essential to keep. The plot revolves around Kartik , an ordinary boy from Gwalior. Any boy from a middle class family in India can very well relate to our Hero.

The narration is simple and easy. I loved the way he was guided every time in a mystical way by the Almighty to solve his problems. The letter or should i say the treasure of wisdom that he wanted to hand over to his daughter contained the essence of life.

Good read. Fiction, Business, Nonfiction Extraordinary Fate Of An Ordinary Man: A Man In A Prejudiced World by Ramesh Arreja & Kanika Hukmani is a tale of courage, strength and bravery.
🌔
It's a work of fiction but what makes the book extraordinary is the insideful storyline.
The story of Extraordinary Fate Of An Ordinary Man revolves around Gwalior based Kartik, a man from middle class family, who has always been a backbencher from school to the corporate world.
His father is the caretaker of a temple, everyone treats him with respect.
🌔
Being a backbencher of the class, Kartik is a careless boy who bunks classes, skips lectures, plays games, enjoys parties and takes everything lightly.
But when he grows up and joins the corporate world, he has to deal with the corrupt system and discrimination all around.
🌔
What happens next?
What Kartik is supposed to do?
will Kartik strike back against discrimination and corrupt system or will he just sit, watch and accept the consequences as his fate?
🌔
If you believe in God and in yourself, you find courage and strength all of sudden. You fight back for the right and you learn to be patient.
🌔
The book tells a lot about the outer world and how important it is to come out of comfort zone and deal with the reality, to maintain work and home balance, to put family above all!
🌔
The book is full of learning.
The authors have described the events of life in a simple yet effective manner.
The main and sub characters are well portrayed.
