This book is brilliant giving me a solid grounding in the beaglebone, coding and basic electronics. Looking ahead there are plenty of challenging projects in later chapters. I'm about a third of the way through, but I've no doubt by the end I'll have achieved my goal of constructing linux/C sensor platforms capable of logging at khz sampling rates. Each chapter is well thought out, in fact each paragraph is constructed with great care. I've tried working through a few books on embedded programming but never got to the end.often stuck at a point or just sheer boredombut this book is great. UIO is the simpler and should be the faster.

Don't know how these textbook manufacturers get off charging 200 for a texbook with this paperback you'll learn tons about Embedded Linux and the Beaglebone for just a few dollars. Very fair price and great quality. Good binding too, pages dont fall out or anything.
