🌸 I liked this Book a lot as it is written long ago yet is relevant today and would still be relevant after hundred years. Its relevance is because of courageous solutions provided for problems of India. English Sir A P J Abdul Kalam has been best at what ever he has done.
We all know his love for students and how he used to give speeches.
His speeches gives so much motivation.

I feel too little or I don’t deserve to review this book as I am nothing compared to author of this book. We all loved Dr. Kalam and it’s my privilege to review his book. I have read one two or books by him but that was in Gujarati. I am glad that I had chance to read this one. I will briefly summarise summary of the book. Dr. Kalam loved children, so he wrote majority of his work considering them. This one is also targets to develop their minds, create innovation their brains, create new ideas, etc. As we all know, the education system is based on forced learning rather than creative learning. So this one will serve as a guidance system. He has also mentioned training teachers/ professors. As we all know teachers play really important part in our lives like our parents. So he has kept that point of view also in his writings. My favourite chapter is beautiful minds became as we know, mind is the most wonderful thing that a humans have in compared to any living creatures and it can make our lives heaven as well as hell depends on how we train it. So that was my favourite. Overall I will just say, I loved the book. It’s a gem and I feel privileged to read this one. The book has small small chapters that holds our attention and it’s written to the point. It’s written in reader friendly language so that people of any age especially children can pock it up. APJ Abdul Kalam came from a financially poor background and used to distribute newspapers after school, to support his family’s income. No matter how difficult your life is if you want to do anything you can do that.
APJ Abdul kalam has initially started his scientific career by developing a small helicopter for the Indian Army. This is an important takeaway for entrepreneurs to never belittle their ideas. always persistence and patience will pay off. An idea can change several lives.
The book 'Enlightened Mind' talks about certain speeches of Kalam sir and basically his interaction with students.
I want to share one such interaction of Kalam sir with a student:
Back in the year of 2014 at Mumbai to attend fiftieth-anniversary celebrations Sri. A P J Abdul Kalam is a chief guest there was a long discussion and question-and-answer session. He answered each question with his usual wit and grace.
Suddenly, a young student of about twenty stood up to ask a question “Sir, you have had so many successes, I am sure you had some failures too you always say that you have built your successes over the lessons learnt from failures. I want to know something Is there something that you could not do and still regret not doing it?”
A P J Abdul Kalam took his time to think through the answer and finally replied, “You know, back home, I have an elder brother who is ninety-eight years old now.
He can walk slowly, but steadily and completely on his own. He has a little problem with his vision and hence there is always a need to keep the house well lit, especially in the night.
“Now you see, in Rameswaram, there are power cuts sometimes. Thus it becomes difficult for him to move about freely. So, last year I got a rooftop solar panel installed at home, with a good battery. When the sun shines, the panel gives power, and in the night the battery takes over the power supply. Now there is plenty of power all the time My brother is happy, “When I see him happy, I also feel happy.
But I am also reminded of my own parents both of them lived for almost a hundred years and towards their later years, they had difficulty seeing things well. Three decades ago, the power cuts were more frequent. Back then I could do nothing for them. There was no solar power. The fact that I could not do anything to remove their pain is my greatest regret, something which will remain with me forever.”
This incident touched the heart, a person who has achieved a lot but still has the courage to speak about his failures is remarkable enough. That's why he is loved by all of us.

This book is compilation of various Interviews and speeches of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam whom we all know and doesn't need to introduce.
He was an aerospace scientist so some part of the this book may get over your head because it has gone over mine as well.
This book has compiled statistical data showing India ranked 44 in terms of Innovative Capacity Index which is quite low.
But, proportion of Scientists and Engineers Index India has 60 which is more than USA, China and Brazil.
Dr. Kalam believe that to achieve a goal what is needed is not only knowledge but also a passion and creativity. That's the reason why Dr. Kalam more emphasis on Creativity and Education system of India.
He always say that present academic system may give you workload but can't prevent you to dream, workhard and acquire knowledge.
This book has also includes experience at Bodh Gaya where he experienced radiating peace and enlightenment.
My take:-
This book has talked about his work, aspirations, knowledge and vision if Dr. Kalam which needs to be provided to each and every citizen of India.
As we proud of Aryabhata, Ramanujan and Chandrasekhar, we Indians proud of Dr. Kalam and we won't going to forget him for sure.
If I talk about book, As I said earlier this book might confuse you with some technical jargon so be prepared for that.

This book is a collection of speeches by A.P.J.Abdul Kalam delivered in different podiums.
This book was a bit of a nostalgic feeling for me considering that many days in school were spent discussing ‘Vision 2020’ that Dr.Kalam envisioned for India. Now, it is a pity that 2020 became a nightmare year for everyone around the world. Now, reading his words make more sense than it made when I was a student who was then only merely fascinated by the ideas of his speech rather than paying full needed attention to content.
I have to agree that there indeed were technicalities that flew past my head. Though I do possess decent technical knowledge, his field is far different from mine. This is one stop for young children to know and understand the vision of one of the greatest scientists and leaders ever lived.
