Lovely little (big!) book! I loved it. Great gift for the KH lover in your life! : ) Drawing on Walls: A Story of Keith Haring Rather disappointing. I expected a in depth book but maybe this was written for children? I will pass it to my grandchildren. Drawing on Walls: A Story of Keith Haring I teach art to kindergarten and second graders and this is the best book on Keith Haring I've seen. The illustrations are fabulous. The writing covers childhood through death: painting with his father, school in Pittsburgh, life in NYC, the subway series, the nightlife, his love affair with Juan, and his death from AIDS. It presents Keith as a human being and not just a guy who drew on everything. I loved reading this book myself, and was so proud to see how much students fell in love with Keith after I read it to them. Drawing on Walls: A Story of Keith Haring I love Keith Haring and this book is a lovely tribute to a fantastic author. I learned a few things and I wouldn't hesitate to gift this book to any small folks! Drawing on Walls: A Story of Keith Haring The best Artist biography story book. The illustrator draws inspiration from Keith Haring’s style without copying it delivering fantastic images.The writing is flawless, including all the highlights from the Artist’s life without focusing too much on any particular moments.May not be suitable for young audiences in certain school settings due to discussion of sexual orientation.
