4 stars
Hope Callaghan writes clean mysteries from a Christian's point of view. This series is well written and Han has good doses of humor. If you enjoy cozy mysteries that aren't centered around bakeries then give her books a try. I have been keeping up with all of her series and found them all well written and well edited.
Divine Regrets (Divine #8) A really wonderful book
I love these books , Hope really makes you feel like you are actually stood watching everything unfold. I always feel uplifted when I get to the end. There is no smut, gore or bad language in these books. I love the characters they seem so real. I hope there will be many more books in this series. I had to give five stars in fact I'd give more if I could. Divine Regrets (Divine #8) Love this Divine series

Please do yourself a favor and grab this book! You will NOT be disappointed! Divine Regrets (Divine #8) We all make mistakes. We all have regrets. Will Miles, Joanne Pepperdine’s brother learn from his mistake and NOT repeat it? Jo Pepperdine is a special lady running Second Chance Farm and main character in Divine Regrets by Hope Callaghan. While the story is fictional, there is an element of truth – in the news we read about missing people. Are they kidnapped or abducted or blackmailed? Why? What is the outcome? Also do inmates on release receive second chances? Are people of means as kind and generous as Joanne Pepperdine? Divine Regrets is a page turning read that is both entertaining yet has the reader ponder contemporary questions. Three tasty holiday recipes included. Divine Regrets (Divine #8) Proof that everyone deserves a second chance.
This book, ,like the rest in this series, demonstrates the value every person has. No matter what they do ,some one loves them. Mistakes happen ,this book shows that with a hand up and faith life can improve for each of us. As a bonus, this book not only had a wonderful story but some wonderful recipes as well! I've never tried one of this Authors recipes and been any put delighted with the finished product. Give them a spin Divine Regrets (Divine #8) Everyone Has Regrets. It’s How We Deal With Them That Matters
God prevails. I don’t want to give out spoilers, so…..
This was an enjoyable quick read. While not quite up to par with some of her other books, Ms. Callaghan always writes with her heart.
We learn more about Jo’s background and how she was able to do what she does. The story had a background of Halloween, but wasn’t specifically a Halloween story. It had some good reminders to learn self defense, because you never know what’s going to happen.
I hope the next book brings Jo and Nash together. Maybe for a Valentine wedding. Hint Hint! That way Delta could come up with So many recipes!
This is a Christian based book, but not overly religious. Divine Regrets (Divine #8) All 9 of the books in this series were fantastic. If you are looking to read mysteries and amateur sleuthing, this series is for you. Also, the main character of the book (Jo Pepperdine), as well as the residents on her farm all depends on God to help them through their troubles. There is praying at the dinner table and turning to the lord for advice. There are also 2 angels mentioned in each book which gives me the good kind of child every time they appear. These giant men are Divine’s angels and they protect Jo’s land and the good people on it. Ain’t God awesome to send His angels?! Yes, he cares for us that much. I realize this series is not non-fiction, but I do believe in angels and I do believe God cares for us even when we don’t care for ourselves.
This series is different than any of the other mysteries and sleuth books I’ve read in the past in that not every book has a murder in it. Sometimes there is just a mystery and troubled times that fall upon Jo that she has to dig into to get answers. And each book (except the 9th) contains at least 300 pages which to me is really cool because I definitely didn’t want this series to end! What else is different about this series is that Jo owns a farm and houses women who have been recently released from the local prison. Jo is helping the ladies recover from being criminals to being people who can survive in society. She has a halfway house. So, this has definitely been different, because of course Jo has her challenges with the ex-criminals and with helping them get out into the world on their own.
If you want some positive reads, some Jesus and hope, some angels, some family and friendship, and some plain old goodness and the good guy winning in the end - you need to read this series! 5 stars!
Oh! I forgot! There is also romance added in here, too. Divine Regrets (Divine #8)
