I have always been a Dean Koontz fan and his love of dogs, especially Golden Retrievers shines through. Great read! Kindle, Hardcover, Paperback Joints loves canines. He also likes to shock with sci fi monsters made from the hubris of unrestrained billionaires. If you are faint of stomach, venture not. If you love dogs, and could envision a future evolution with our best friends, you will like this Kindle, Hardcover, Paperback It was one of the most profound, thought provoking books I've ever read. To say that I enjoyed it is an understatement; I didn't want to put it down, and I didn't want it to be over. It has changed the way I feel about the world around me. Kudos. Kindle, Hardcover, Paperback I usually enjoy this author’s writing. The story could have been great. What causes me to give it 3 out of 5 is the gore. Detailed gore is becoming too common and unnecessary in the story. I also object to the use of misogynistic terms. Dean Koontz is usually a clean read. Kindle, Hardcover, Paperback I am so glad to get back to the intelligent dog plot. Coupling it with telepathic communication between human and dog really opens up possibilities.
