I have read other books on this topic, most were fairly dry, factual and academic books. Brutal Valour provides an informative, fast paced and gripping depiction of the battles in and around Isandlwana. It brought a human face to the conflict from both combatants and 1 more , Kindle, Hardcover, Paperback The awful arrogance of the two leaders in the cape and the courage on both sides who fought and died at this place. Sees the conflict from both sides and if there ever was a story of the horror and pointlessness of colonial wars this is it.
