I bought this book nearly 3 years ago. I am not a reader of short stories, but it is a Don Winslow book, I am a fan. I just read it again recently. Mr. Winslow introduces 6 new stories filled with old and new friends in prequels and addons to existing characters he has already created, he or less aces everyone of them. For me the best one and worth the price of the book alone, was San Diego Zoo. Great story telling and laugh out loud funny. Every working cop knows a Hollis Bamburger, in fact they probably know a few. The attitudes and the dialogue are spot on. Mr Winslow outdoes Wambaugh. Probably the best cop story I have ever read. Buy it, you wont be disappointed. Brilliant. Don Winslow Fantástica colección de historias (novelas cortas en realidad) del maestro Winslow. Según iba leyendo nuevas historias me he ido arrepintiendo de no tener todo lo anterior de Winslow leído, porque en estas historias (leve spoiler pero por si acaso) reaparecen, a veces juntos y revueltos, todos los protagonistas de sus varios universos de novelas. El mítico Boone Daniels se echa unas charlas con Neal Carey, mientras ambos trabajan juntos en un caso. Ben, Chon y O trabajan con Tin Kearney (Y conocen a Frankie Machine) y así unos cuantos.He disfrutado muchísimo y, por supuesto, he empezado a leer las novelas que me faltaban de Winslow, empezando con Frankie Machine, por qué no.Cuatro estrellas porque son buenísimos, cinco porque he disfrutado como un cochino en el barro, cuatro y media en promedio que redondeo. Muy recomendable pero hay que leer antes más cosas del mismo autor. Don Winslow
